Selena Gomez has opened up about her appearance while candidly reflecting on her body’s changes throughout the years.
Taking to her Instagram Story Monday night, the actress/singer showed her body in two images years apart.
“Today I realized I will never look like this again…” she wrote alongside a pic of her in a zebra ʙικιɴι from 2013, when she was 21.
The now-31-year-old went on to share a pH๏τo from her getaway to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, last year.
The pic showed the “Only Murders in the Building” actress wearing a high-waisted ʙικιɴι bottom with a white ʙικιɴι top.
“I’m not perfect, but I am proud to be who I am… Sometimes I forget it’s ok to be me,” she captioned the second image.
In October, Gomez opened up about being on the receiving end of scrutinizing body-shaming after undergoing surgery following her lupus diagnosis.
Gomez, who was 24 when she was diagnosed, recalled feeling that she no longer “had a teenager’s body” during a magazine fitting — which ultimately left her self-conscious.
“None of the sample sizes were fitting, and that would make me feel embarrᴀssed,” she said in an interview with Fast Company. “Although how unrealistic is it to expect a normal woman’s body not to change?”
Following her diagnosis, the “Single Soon” songstress subsequently underwent a kidney transplant and chemotherapy.
A few months later, Gomez was papped in a ʙικιɴι during a getaway to Australia, where pap sH๏τs showed her surgery scars to the world.
