What’s next for The Traitors winner Leanne Quigley as she leaves role in British Army after 12 years and reveals plans to use cash prize for lavish wedding to fiancée Sophie Jones

She emerged victorious following the tense final of The Traitors, after she and fellow Faithful Jake Brown were the last two remaining and scooped the prize fund.

But having left her role in the British Army, where she had been positioned for 12 years, Leanne Quigley has big plans for her future.

Leanne clinched the prize on the BBC game show after the last remaining Traitor, Charlotte Berman, was banished at the final round table.

Just four compeтιтors remained, all faithfuls, and as paranoia mounted they continued to banish, with Alexander Dragonetti and Francesca Rowen-Plowden the unlucky victims – leaving just Leanne and Jake to split the £94,600.

Leanne has since revealed her plans to use her share of the money, £47,300, to pay for a lavish wedding to her fiancé Sophie Jones and further rounds of IVF.

But which career direction she plans to head in is still a mystery, after the former squaddie revealed in October she was leaving the army after joining at the age of 16.

Revealing she was stepping away from her army career, Leanne shared a collection of snaps of herself on the job.

‘Today is my official last ever day in the British Army!’ she said. ‘A career of over 12 years come to an end and I’m so proud to of served for our country. I’m ready for my next chapter.’

Leanne’s army career took her across the world, from Nairobi in Kenya to The Hague in the Netherlands – and saw her embark on huge challenges such as jumping out of plane.

She deviously kept her career in the Armed Forces a secret from her fellow contestants on the show as part of her strategy to win. Instead, Leanne successfully duped everyone into thinking she works as a nail technician to throw them off the scent.

In real life, Leanne left her family home in Holywell, Wales, as a 16-year-old to serve for her country.

Her physical fitness was seen on a number of challenges in the show, including the episode before the final when she sprinted to fetch coins, as well as lugging stone heads up a hill.

After managing to score a huge number of coins, she quipped: ‘All those physical training instructors in the Army will be like, if only she’d worked that hard for us!’

But as she prepares for life after the army, Leanne, who shares twin sons with Sophie, conceived through IVF, revealed her focus is on family.

Speaking to MailOnline after winning The Traitors, Leanne admitted she has been eyeing up Ardross Castle in the Highlands, the one used for the show, as her wedding venue.

‘We have got wedding planning to do,’ she told MailOnline. ‘We have just started. We haven’t set a date yet but yeah we can get a wedding going.

‘I actually looked at the castle because I didn’t realise you could get married there. That would be so iconic. I would actually love that.’

Couples looking for the perfect wedding venue are actually able to hire the Great Hall at Ardross Castle, which can cater for up to 130 guests.

Leanne added that she would ‘absolutely’ be inviting the cast of the BBC show to her big day, when it rolls around.

She quipped: ‘I mean, the most incredible people I’ve ever met in my life, and the genuine love that we all have for each other.

‘We’ve all had a few meet ups since leaving the castle and every time we see each other, it’s just all love. It’s so lovely.’

She also revealed plans to use some of the money to expand her family, as she said: ‘I will absolutely be trying to have another baby, not straight away, maybe in a couple of years, I think.

‘My family need a little bit of a rest at the minute. But I think we’ll go through and freeze our eggs, hopefully get some embryos and get them in the freezer for the future.’

When quizzed on whether she’d spent the money yet, the veteran admitted: ‘No, not quite yet, we absolutely haven’t had it yet.

‘So, when that time comes, I think we’ll go on a nice family holiday holiday.’

Leanne’s win comes after a very difficult six months following her fiancé Sophie’s secret battle with cancer – which was diagnosed just weeks after she returned from filming.

Speaking to Metro, Leanne said of the ordeal: ‘I would never, ever have gone away to film if Soph had cancer. We found out weeks after I got home.

‘Actually, she found a lump maybe a month after, and it all happened very quickly from there. Ringing the bell now, radiotherapy to get through

‘I only left the army actually in October, so I’m still very freshly out of the army. And with lots going on, first of all, with the twins, and then with my partner, we’re going to take some time now to really enjoy family time.’

Leanne revealed earlier this month, after the show began airing, that Sophie had received the all-clear.

She said: ‘This is the only news we needed and wanted. On the 31st July 2024 my partner, and the mother of my children was diagnosed with grade 3 breast cancer.

‘Watching the person you love fight through chemotherapy is up there with the worst things on earth. We quickly learnt to never take anything for granted ever again, and sadly had to learn that tomorrow is never promised and fear of the unknown literally killed us inside.

‘Yesterday, Wednesday 8th January 2025, the strongest woman on planet earth was told she is cancer free. She did it. I cannot express or put in to words how proud I am, and how in awe I am of her strength every single day.

‘Today we begin to truly celebrate us, our boys, and the excitement of the rest of our lives. I could never thank the NHS enough for quite literally saving my whole family. And the biggest thank you to our support system, we’re so lucky to be surrounded by the most incredible family and friends.

‘For anybody fighting, or for anybody watching their loved ones fight this horrible disease. I see you and I feel you. Please don’t give up.’
