Fans went wild over Timothée Chalamet’s singing skills after the 29-year-old star pulled double duty as both host (for the third time) and musical guest on the January 25th episode of Saturday Night Live.

While he’s primarily known for his acting—having recently earned a Best Actor Oscar nomination for his portrayal of Bob Dylan in A Complete Unknown—Chalamet also sang in the biopic, so his musical talents weren’t a total surprise.

Still, it was one of his first live musical performances and he knocked it out of the park as viewers were treated to songs written by the legendary artist.

‘You might not know the Bob Dylan songs I’m performing, but they’re my personal favorites,’ Chalamet said in his monologue. ‘And I’m so grateful Saturday Night Live is still doing weird stuff like this 50 years in. They’re either really nice for letting me do this or incredibly mean and this is all a big prank.’

Introduced by Adam Sandler, Chalamet kicked off with a raucous rock-and-roll rendition of Outlaw Blues before slowing the tempo for a soulful Three Angels, performed sitting next to James Blake on piano.

Later, he took the stage with a guitar in hand and wowed the crowd with Dylan’s masterpiece Tomorrow is a Long Time.

Timothée may have to hit pause on any possible tour plans as he gears up for the Oscars. 

He officially joined a rare Oscars club with his Best Actor nomination for A Complete Unknown on Thursday.

This follows his previous nomination for the same honor at the 90th Academy Awards in 2018 for Call Me By Your Name.

With this latest nomination, Chalamet becomes the first man to secure two Best Actor nominations before turning 30—an achievement last reached by the late, legendary James Dean.

The iconic star, who tragically pᴀssed away at 24 in 1955, was nominated posthumously for East of Eden (1955) and Giant (1956) in the two ceremonies following his death.

Should Chalamet win, he’ll make history as the youngest-ever Best Actor winner, besting Adrien Brody’s 2003 record of winning at 29 for The Pianist. 

Meanwhile, fans were still buzzing to see if Chalamet would join the SNL afterparties with girlfriend Kylie Jenner.

The couple has largely kept their two-year romance out of the spotlight.

However, they made a rare public appearance together at the Golden Globes, sparking speculation that Kylie might make an appearance at the Oscars as well.

‘Kylie and Timothée are still trying to figure out who they are as a couple,’ an insider exclusively told DailyMail.com. ‘There is no trouble in paradise, but there are things they still need to navigate.’

The insider continued, ‘They are both very attracted to each other, but Timothée is still trying to figure out his career, which is a lot to deal with. To add a relationship into the mix with someone like Kylie is a lot to juggle.’

The source added that their decision to keep things private has helped their relationship stay strong.
