Kim Kardashian has seen her Instagram follower count decrease dramatically.
The reality TV star, 44, made a political statement by sharing a pH๏τo of First Lady Melania Trump during Donald Trump’s Presidential Inauguration on Monday.
The post caused a backlash from many of her fans, with around 150,000 of her Instagram followers ditching the star, as per the New York Post.
According to data analyzed by Socially Powerful, an influencer marketing agency, Kim lost 144,963 Instagram followers after uploading the image.
She currently boasts 358 million followers on Instagram.
The SKIMS founder also lost 9,553 followers on X, formerly known as Twitter, where she currently has 75.1 million followers.

Kim posted a snap of Melania in a chic black suit by Adam Lippes, and a coordinating hat by Eric Javits, to her Instagram story – leading to a wave of social media reaction.
Kardashian has never spoken publicly about who she endorsed in the 2024 Presidential election, in which Trump triumphed over Democrat candidate Kamala Harris.

However, she has aligned herself with Trump supporter and Department of Government Efficiency head Elon Musk, and has a close friendship with Trump’s daughter Ivanka.
The posting of the pH๏τo saw fans react with one writing: ‘Kim kardashian posted a pH๏τo of melania trump? Yeah its clear who she voted for.’
Others wrote: ‘She’s been waiting to let that out!’
‘Kim K posted Melania at the inauguration. I know that family must be ready to take the masks off.’

Kardashian never explicitly said she was a Biden supporter, though posted a picture of Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris with three blue hearts after the Democrats won election over Trump in 2020.
In November 2023 Trump called Kardashian ‘the World’s most overrated celebrity’ as he slapped down an account that said he asked the reality star for help attracting ‘football stars’ to the White House.
Trump went off on Truth Social after ABC’s Jonathan Karl reported in his book, Tired of Winning: Donald Trump and the End of the Grand Old Party, that the then-president had made the Kardashian ask.
In the waning days of his administration, Kardashian – who was working to get non-violent offenders out of prison – had asked Trump to commute more sentences, as he had done after their highly publicized Oval Office meeting in 2018.
A source told Karl that ‘Trump listened to her requests and demanded a straight-up quid pro quo.’
‘He would grant the commutations, he told Kardashian, if she leveraged her celebrity connections to get football stars who were friends of hers to come visit him at the White House,’ the ABC News reporter wrote.
‘Kardashian actually tried to do what Trump demanded, seeing it as a small price to pay to get justice for people she believed were serving unjust sentences. But all the players she approached declined,’ Karl said. ‘Trump had become too toxic. In the final two weeks of his presidency, nobody wanted to be anywhere near him.’
In his Truth Social post, Trump dubbed Karl a ‘Failed ABC Fake News repoter’ adding that he ‘works sooo hard, but has sooo little talent.’

‘In the “book” he has the World’s most overrated celebrity, Kim Kardashian, supposedly telling me that she “would leverage her celebrity to get football stars to come to the White House,” if I would commute the sentences of various prisoners,’ Trump wrote. ‘This story is Fake News in that she would be the last person I asked to get football players.’
Trump then boasted that he had ‘many teams from all sports and leagues, in the White House.’
Earlier on Thursday Kim showed off her toned figure as she modeled lingerie for the latest Valentine’s Day collection for her SKIMS brand.
The mother-of-four gave her fans a closer look at a few items from the collection by uploading an ᴀssortment of selfie videos to her Instagram stories.
The Valentine’s Day collection offers a number of different items for consumers ranging from intimates, loungewear, pajamas and clothing.
