Hollywood Squares gets a daytime run on CBS after strong primetime performances

CBS is bringing its successful Hollywood Squares reboot to daytime with a special encore run next week.

The original show debuted in 1966 and has seen various iterations over the years, the most recent of which debuted on CBS on January 16.

The new show – hosted by Nate Burleson with Drew Barrymore starring as the Ceter Square –  airs in blocks of two 30-minute episodes.

They also aired a block last Sunday after the AFC Divisional playoff game, and the network also announced the show will now kick off CBS’ Wednesday Night Game Night on January 29.

The daytime encores will run from Monday, January 27 to Friday, January 31 from 2:00-3:00 PM ET, according to a CBS press release.

Monday’s first episode features elebrity guests: Tyra Banks, Julie Bowen, Whitney Cummings, Tiffany Haddish, Thomas Lennon, Ms. Pat, Jeff Ross and Triumph the Insult Comic Dog.

Monday’s second episode includes Tichina Arnold, Nicole Byer, Drew Carey, Pete Holmes, Debi Mazar, Bobby Moynihan, Chelsea Peretti and JB Smoove.

Tyra Banks, Whitney Cummings, Tiffany Haddish, Sam Jay, Thomas Lennon, Triumph the Insult Comic Dog, Andrew Rannells and Sheryl Underwood are featured on the first Tuesday episode.

The second Tuesday episode features Julie Bowen, Margaret Cho, Leslie Jones, Carson Kressley, Ross Mathews, Kevin Nealon, RuPaul and Paul Scheer.

Wednesday’s first episode brings Tanner Adell, Whitney Cummings, Pete Holmes, Chaka Khan, Jay Leno, Thomas Lennon, Nelly and Patton Oswalt.

Nicole Byer, Drew Carey, Jeff Dunham, Max Greenfield, Pete Holmes, Lil Rel Howery, Rita Moreno and Bobby Moynihan are in the second Wednesday episode.

Thursday brings Nicole Byer, Drew Carey, Luenell, Debi Mazar, Bobby Moynihan, Chelsea Peretti, Phil Rosenthal and JB Smoove for the first episode.

The second episode features Julie Bowen, Margaret Cho, Leslie Jones, Carson Kressley, Jeannie Mai, Kevin Nealon, RuPaul and Paul Scheer.

The daytime run winds down on Friday with a repeat of both Monday episodes of the game show.

Hollywood Squares will kick off CBS Wednesday Game Night in prime time at 8 PM ET.

It will be followed by The Price Is Right at 9 PM ET and Raid The Cage at 10 PM ET in the lineup.
