Amandaland fans rave ‘I’m obsessed!’ as BBC drops trailer for Motherland spin-off full to the brim with chaos and cringe

A trailer for a hugely anticipated new BBC comedy has just been dropped and fans have raved that they’re already ‘obsessed’ with the series.

Amandaland, stars Lucy Punch, 47, as Amanda and is a spin-off from the BAFTA award-winning series Motherland.

Also reprising her role from Motherland is Dame Joanna Lumley as Felicity, Amanda’s mother and Philippa Dunne as Anne, her long-suffering pal.

Amandaland, produced by Merman, follows the story of divorcee Amanda as she relocates from Chiswick and navigates raising her two teenagers, Manus and Georgie.

She also has to balance an unhealthy, co-dependent relationship with her mother, Felicity, and turns to old friend Anne for help as she tackles the social scene at her children’s new school.

The trailer shows Lucy in character as Amanda and opens with her discussing her move from Chiswick and her struggles with her ‘rapidly growing Instagram start-up’.
