Scarlett Johansson makes rare mention of twin brother Hunter in candid interview

Scarlett Johansson made a rare comment about her twin brother Hunter during an appearance on Wednesday’s Today With Jenna & Friends.

While the actress, 40, is a bonafide Hollywood superstar, her brother has largely shunned the spotlight, founding the nonprofit organization Solar Responders in 2018.

The pair – whose parents are Karsten Johansson and Melanie Sloan – have two older siblings Adrian Johansson and Vanessa Johansson, older half brother Christian Johansson from Karsten’s first marriage and a younger sister Fenan Sloan, who was adopted by Melanie in 2010.

Discussing how hard it is to find souvenirs with their names on as children, the Lost In Translation star said: ‘A couple of years ago, we were in Montauk out in Long Island and we were at one of those surf shop places, and there were two mini keychain surfboards.

‘One said Scarlett, and then we found Hunter, and I legit think we cried.

‘We bought them and we looked at each other and it was like, “They see us,” before quipping the reaction was an ‘overaction.’

In 2016 Johansson teamed up with her sister Vanessa to voice an audio book.

The actress, worked on the adaptation of Lewis Carroll’s Alice’s Adventures In Wonderland with her sibling. She narrated the classic tale for Audible.

Vanessa, who is a voice actress and has worked with the company before, this time sat in the director’s chair.

She told People it was a ‘no-brainer.’

She added: ‘We’re very close and, as you can imagine, have been playing around and doing funny voices since we were little so it was great project for the two of us because we’re so used to inventing together.’

The pair worked in the studio together on the project, which led to much sisterly bonding.

Vanessa said: ‘There was a lot of laughter, a lot of goofiness happening.

The story certainly warrants a lot of that. It’s a total wacky, crazy story.

‘We were like, “Oh my god, that was written for children?!” It’s so out-there, really!’
