Rachel Lindsay is looking forward to a ‘fresh start’ now that she has settled her divorce with Bryan Abasolo.

The couple, who met on season 13 of The Bachelorette, finalized their divorce on January 7 almost exactly one year after the initial filing.

They were married for four and were stuck in months of legal negotiations following their split last year.

Now, The Bachelorette star, who was also a contestant on the 21st season of The Bachelor, revealed she is feeling ‘great,’ according to TMZ.

As part of the settlement, she is walking away with their home in North Hollywood, a Porsche Macan, artwork and other ᴀssets, per the outlet.

Just earlier this month, the sports attorney broke her silence after she previously said their months-long divorce battle was ‘unnecessarily messy.’

She said that their divorce was long and complicated because they did not sign a prenup. Lindsay said that she ‘wouldn’t get married without a prenup’ again. 

During their divorce proceedings, the former couple went back and forth as they negotiated their finances.

Abasolo continually requested spousal support from Lindsay and the pair repeatedly disagreed on how the conversation about Abasolo filing for divorce had occurred. 

Previously, she was ordered to pay $13k a month in temporary spousal support over the summer. 

In recent court documents, however, it was revealed that Abasolo ‘waives, discharges, and releases’ Lindsay from ‘any and all’ payments she was scheduled to make in the future. 

Also as revealed in the legal documents, the chiropractor alleged his wife ‘never showed any interest’ in his career and wanted him ‘out of the way’ and ‘not involved in Hollywood.’ 

He claimed he had ‘endured years of her verbal manipulation.’ 

Meanwhile, Lindsay alleged that she and Abasolo ‘very rarely went out together’ during their four-year marriage as he ‘often worked late into the night and I traveled a lot for work.’

In a June filing, she alleged: ‘In fact, we rarely saw each other or even lived together during our brief marriage.’ 

In a recent episode of her Higher Learning podcast, she announced: ‘I’m divorced. Thank you, God. Give me some freedom music. Some freedom music.’ 

To her listeners, she said: ‘From the moment he finally left the house, after being here for seven months post-separation, I felt divorced. I’ll be honest, there’s a lot I want to say.’ 

Lindsay added: ‘I had to make concessions that I didn’t necessarily want to do, and in order to say, my peace of mind is priceless at the end of the day.’ 

‘And I really want to start rebuilding and I want to move forward. And I’m able to do that now. And that feels really, really good that I can start the process of, like, okay. Let’s rebuild.’

She went on: ‘I haven’t talked, but I will and I’m just figuring all that out. There [are] so many things that I want to address.’

She also addressed getting married without a prenup, saying she ‘wouldn’t get married without a prenup again.

‘But, I don’t know,’ she continued. ‘It’s, like, changed my whole perspective on everything. I don’t even know if I would get married again. I can’t even, like, fathom that.’ 

Almost exactly one year after divorce documents were filed, Lindsay and Abasolo’s marriage officially came to an end.
