‘The movie is packed with nail-biting action sequences, including some impressive stunts and chases.

‘Franck goes on a dangerous mission to rescue Leo while evading the authorities who believe he is guilty of a crime. #Netflix #movies.’

At 1 hour and 38 minutes, Ad Vitam has proved to be a hit with some and is one of Netflix’s top ten movies this week, placed at number eight.

The film, which was originally spoken in French and takes place in Paris, was directed by Rodolphe Lauga.

Viewers have also shared their opinions about Ad Vitam on review aggregator site Rotten Tomatoes.

One person, who rated the movie five out of five, said: ‘It was an action movie. It’s better in French than English, it has a beautiful ending. And you have to watch to the end to understand.’

Another scored it four out of five and commented: ‘Pretty good action movie.’

However, not everyone was positive about the French action film and some shared their disappointment.

One viewer rated it 1.5 stars and wrote: ‘Thought I was getting an action-packed French spy thriller after the first 15 minutes.

‘But its just a bizarre hour flashback and pointless side character buildup to a pretty standard climax.

‘Overthought and underwhelming. Completely random paragliding sequence did its best to save the movie.’

‘The movie turned out to be very slow. Could not keep my attention.’

Someone else wrote on X: ’30mins into this movie AD VITAM and I’m still confused what the plot is. I mean, the movie ends in 40 mins.. why is it #2 on Netflix?’

Another on Rotten Tomatoes rated it two stars and wrote: ‘Really slow. Could have been a good story, but it’s not.’
