The funeral for ‘Catwoman’ Jocelyne Wildenstein will take place at a historic Paris crematorium where the likes of Jim Morrison and Oscar Wilde are buried, her official Instagram revealed on Sunday.

The socialite and social media star’s death was announced on New Year’s Day, with her longtime partner Lloyd Klein confirming she pᴀssed from a pulmonary embolism. 

A funeral invitation posted to social media read: ‘It is with great sadness that we announce the pᴀssing of…Jocelyne Wildenstein. September 7-1945 ~ December 31-2024. 

‘She will be deeply missed but fondly remembered. Funeral service January 23, 2025 at 3pm. Crematorium du Pere – Lachaise, 55 Rue Desrondeaux, Paris 20eme.’

The card added: ‘This announcement will be requested at the entrance.’

The post also had the caption: ‘RSVP; Daniel at [email protected]

Crematorium du Pere lies just nextdoor to a cemetery of the same name, which serves as the burial site for a string of significant figures in history, including The Doors frontman Jim Morrison and Irish playwright Oscar Wilde.

The graveyard, the most visited in the world and the largest in Paris, covers around 110 acres in the centre of the French capital and is also where the likes of Edith Piaf, Sarah Berhardt, Molière, Frederic Chopin and Colette rest.

The Swiss socialite, nicknamed Catwoman because she reportedly had many facial cosmetic procedures in the hopes of resembling a cat, pᴀssed away while taking a nap in a Parisian palace at the time of her death, it was reported by Paris Match.

‘Her partner Lloyd Klein is saddened to announce the death of Jocelyn[e] Wildenstein in Paris,’ AFP reported.

She was last seen looking healthy on December 18 in Paris when with Lloyd. The star smiled at onlookers while in a fur jacket, leggings and boots as she wore black sunglᴀsses and her blonde hair in soft waves over her shoulders.

She had over one million Instagram followers and described herself as an ‘art dealer’.

This Swiss-born socialite came from humble origins, before meeting Alec N. Wildenstein in the 1970s through Adnan Khashoggi, a Saudi arms dealer.

Jocelyne then tied the knot with the French-born American billionaire, son of French art dealer and horse breeder Daniel Wildenstein, but the two separated just over two decades later in a messy divorce.

She became one of the wealthiest people on the planet after her divorce settlement, which left her with more than $2billion, plus $100 million more annually, and later his estate following his death in 2008 at 67.

But she somehow managed to lose it all after years of tinkering with her face and spending on countless luxuries and her ex-husband’s family also cut off the payments in 2015.

Their family presided over Wildenstein & Co., an influential Paris-based art dealership.

Following her divorce, Jocelyne began dating fashion designer Lloyd in 2003. The two later got engaged but they have had a bumpy relationship over the years.

In 2016, the socialite was arrested for slashing Lloyd’s face with scissors during a fight at her Trump Tower apartment.

The fashion designer was subsequently arrested days later for robbery and ᴀssault after he allegedly tried to retrieve some of his belongings from Jocelyne’s apartment but the couple later reunited.

In 2018, she claimed to Page Six that the vast majority of her wealth disappeared because one of the paintings that was part of the trust set up for her in the divorce settlement, attributed to Diego Velázquez, turned out to be a forgery, while a Cézanne that was expected to go for around $35million on auction only sold for $4.7m.
