Lydia Bright has revealed her daughter Loretta was rushed to hospital after experiencing breathing problems at home. 

The former TOWIE star, 33, shares daughter Loretta, five, with ex-partner Lee Cronin, whom she split from early on in her pregnancy. 

Lydia took to Instagram on Friday to share her daughter is now recovering in the children’s ward after a ‘very tough overnight in A&E.’ 

Sharing a snap of herself reading a book beside her daughter’s hospital bed, Lydia revealed to her followers: ‘Things got a lot worse than my story earlier on in the week. Not the place I planned to spend my birthday weekend.

‘However, I am just grateful that my little lady is now recovering in the children’s ward after a very tough overnight in A&E.’ 

Reflecting on the care provided by the NHS, the reality TV star added: ‘I brought a book to help pᴀss the time and I wanted to share this page. I know the NHS is far from perfect and we are reminded of the downfall constantly in the press.

Lydia took to Instagram on Friday to share that her daughter is now recovering in the children’s ward after a ‘very tough overnight in A&E’ 

‘But it’s good to remind ourselves that there are people who don’t have access to healthcare at all.’ 

‘I’m so thankful for the care this hospital has provided over the past couple of years, with Loretta’s breathing issues and let’s not forget the broken leg (eye roll emoji) We have been here a lot, praying for fewer visits in the future kid (prayer emoji).’

In February last year, Lydia revealed her daughter Loretta was rushed to hospital on her birthday after suffering a ‘harrowing accident’.

The star revealed to her followers at the time that she felt ‘completely shell-shocked and emotional’ following the events. 

Sharing an update to Instagram, Lydia uploaded a pH๏τo of Loretta with her leg in a cast and explained what had happened. 

Lydia captioned the post: ‘Loretta’s fourth birthday, how it started vs how it ended.’

‘The morning was spent at home, unwrapping all her birthday presents with Stevie Wonder “Happy Birthday,” on repeat. Nanny also knocked on the door with her first-ever pets (without my permission I will save that for a whole other post.)’ 

The TV personality continued: ‘We then got ready for what was suppose to be her dream birthday party. Soft play and trampolining with 30 of her best friends. However, 30 minutes into the fun she fell on her leg and the screams were harrowing.’

Sharing an update to Instagram, Lydia uploaded a pH๏τo of Loretta with her leg in a cast and explained what had happened 

‘I knew something was wrong because Loretta is one tough kid. I scooped her up unknown to most of the guests and rushed her to hospital. A few hours later in A&E, the doctor confirmed she has a hairline fracture in her tibia.’ 

‘Lots of tears were shed, especially by me. I fractured my ankle on a trampoline when I was younger and I couldn’t believe I had allowed my daughter to do the same.’

‘By 11 pm we were discharged, with a leg in a cast and pain relief. We drove straight to McDonalds and spent the evening unwrapping her present on the sofa over nuggets and chips.’

‘I still feel completely shell-shocked and very emotional. Thank goodness she has lots of new presents to keep her occupied and we have our family and friends who have been amazing, because I can’t even leave the sofa to wee without tears. I suppose it’s all part of childhood.’ 

It comes after Lydia admitted she ‘feels overwhelmed’ being a single parent due to putting herself under ‘enormous pressure’. 

The star, who is a single mother to daughter Loretta, admitted she faced ‘mum guilt’ when turning to family and friends for help.

Speaking to Kate Ferdinand on her Blended podcast, Lydia said she ‘doesn’t actually feel like a single parent’ anymore as she has a ‘village’ who helps raise her little girl. 

Lydia explained: ‘Sometimes I find things overwhelming. I don’t feel like I’m a single mum, they say it takes a village and my family are incredible. We live so close to each other and they are very hands on as well.’

‘I sent Loretta to nursery and I felt so guilty. At times you do have to rely on friends, family and childcare. You can’t achieve everything by yourself but you get mum guilt and put enormous pressure on yourself as a parent when your working and busy.’
