Molly-Mae Hague opens up on daughter Bambi’s heartbreaking comment that left star in tears

Molly-Mae Hague has opened up on a heartbreaking comment her daughter Bambi made that left her in tears.

The influencer, 25, released the first three episodes of her new documentary Molly Mae: Behind It All on Friday.

The six-part series aims to reveal the true Molly-Mae, going behind the headlines and tracking her life post-breakup with Tommy Fury.

In the new tell-all series, the influencer shows how she juggles being a mum, manages her brand Maebe and the pressure of being in the public eye as well as addressing her highly publicised split.

In one clip that also features in the trailer, Molly-Mae is seen feeding Bambi, now 23 months, and as she leans over, the little one cries out for her ‘dada’.

Looking visibly taken aback, the reality star leans back in shock and appears to get emotional as the camera pans to her face.

The trailer shows Molly-Mae breaking down in tears as she admits to feeling ‘angry’ and ‘hurt’ by Tommy.

The former Love Island star says the couple were ‘utterly obsessed’ with each other until the sudden breakdown of their five-year relationship, describing the aftermath of their split as the worst months of her entire life.

It comes after Molly-Mae has denied her split from Tommy was a ‘publicity stunt’, admitting it would have been easier if the ‘painful’ accusations were true.

The influencer faced a backlash from fans after she and ex-fiancé Tommy were filmed sharing a pᴀssionate kiss on New Year’s Eve ahead of the launch of the three-part Prime Video series, with doubters claiming their breakup was staged.

But Molly has opened up on the ‘turmoil’ of enduring their separation on a public scale, saying the demise of their five-year romance was ‘very, very real.’

The former Love Island star admits the couple are now working through their problems following Tommy’s shock confession that he became ‘addicted to alcohol.’

Molly, who shares  daughter Bambi, two, with the boxer, said her biggest ‘frustration’ was having their August breakup questioned by skeptics when there was a lot more happening behind the scenes.

Speaking at The Londoner H๏τel on Thursday ahead of the release of Behind It All, Molly said: ‘I actually say in the documentary that I wish it was a publicity stunt because it would have been a lot easier… That for me above everything has been the most frustrating part.

‘Because going through all of this with the turmoil of a breakup has been incredibly hard.

‘To have those comments and I do see the comments, I see all of them, and people saying ‘this has obviously just been done for the launch of her brand or a publicity stunt’ that is very painful to read because it’s real life.

‘Tommy and I have a baby together and it’s very, very real. It’s a really hard thing that we have both gone through the past six months.

‘I wish it was a publicity stunt because it would have been a lot easier, but it isn’t, and I think this documentary will clear up any questions of that.

‘You see the real side to it; it’s like you’re a fly on the wall and I think people will be quite surprised by how honest we have been.’

After the exes were seen kissing at a New Year’s Eve party, Tommy has also been pictured leaving Molly’s Cheshire home early in the morning, sparking reports the pair have rekindled their relationship.

And Molly admits they are attempting to ‘navigate’ a ‘complicated’ situation while putting first the needs of their young child.

She said: ‘We are navigating a really complicated time in both our lives in the public eye. This is a whole new territory for me. I have never really had to… Tommy and mine’s relationship has been in the public eye always but to deal with this breakup with millions of eyes watching you it is hard, and it is complicated.

‘The reason why I don’t comment on it or speak about it on my YouTube or publicly is because simply we are both navigating it ourselves, we are figuring it out as adults and as parents.’

She continued: ‘We are doing the best we can, but I really do think the documentary is going to answer a lot of questions. We touch on that situation you’ll see a little snippet in the trailer…

‘The last thing I ever want is any confusion, I don’t want people to feel confused by things that were going on. We try to explain things the best we can. When I agreed to do this documentary, I said I am doing it fully, the highs, the lows, the good days, the bad days, it’s all got to be in there.’

On Wednesday, Tommy admitted to becoming dependant on alcohol following a boxing injury, resulting in the drastic decline of his mental health.

Speaking to Men’s Health, he said: ‘The reason why me and Molly broke up was because I got addicted to alcohol and I couldn’t be the partner that I wanted to be anymore.’

‘It kills me to say it but it’s true, I couldn’t. I loved a pint of beer, loved to drink, and it is what it is. People go through difficult things in life and we all have our crosses to bear. I’ve got mine to bear.’

The former reality star was all smiles as he carried his bundle of joy on his shoulders while out and about.

‘I’m more than ready to step into a new year and to continue working on myself.’

Molly-Mae: Behind It All eps 1-3 launch exclusively on Prime Video on 17th January. The latter three episodes will drop in Spring 2025
