Molly-Mae Hague opens up about motherhood struggles in new documentary as she juggles life as a single parent after Tommy Fury split

Molly-Mae Hague has opened up about her struggles with motherhood in her new documentary Behind It All, as she juggles life as a single parent following her split from Tommy Fury.

The influencer, 25, welcomed daughter Bambi in January 2023 with former fiancé Tommy, also 25, before the couple announced the end of their relationship in August last year.

Since the shock break-up, Molly-Mae has been balancing life co-parenting Bambi, 23, months as well as her continually busy career, which of late has included the launch of her first clothing line, Maebe.

And in a candid moment in her six-part show, which was released on Prime Video on Friday, Molly-Mae is seen struggling with her emotions as she navigates her life without Tommy as he rock.

It also sees her reflect on the early days of being a mother as she questioned whether having a baby had ‘ruined’ her chances of embarking on new career opportunities.

Her manager Francesca Britton tells the camera: ‘She’s worked really hard on building this brand and all this time Tommy has been by her side but now she’s navigating life on her own and co-parenting.

‘The next few months are going to be really hard. She didn’t want any of this, unfortunately life doesn’t pan out the way you think it will.’

The episode sees Molly-Mae get frustrated with Tommy over FaceTime for not sending her baby ballet videos, while another scene sees Bambi is crying as Molly-Mae makes her lunch.

Opening up on mum life, Molly-Mae says: ‘Being a mum it is amazing, as the days go on I’m loving it more and more as Bambi grows.

‘But at the start it was a lot to take in and a lot to navigate. Going from having this life where everyday I woke up a free bird to do and go and have whatever day I wanted to have, and then suddenly overnight my life wasn’t my life anymore.

‘Have I ruined any chances of me being able to work or do anything other than taking of this little person?’

The star then added: ‘But now I think I wouldn’t have changed anything over the past five years because we have her and I’m very grateful.’

It comes after Molly-Mae admitted she ‘didn’t enjoy motherhood at first’ as she revealed she’s ‘ready to let people into her life’ with her upcoming documentary.

Speaking of the first month of Bambi’s life, where Tommy was away at a boxing training camp, she told Grazia: ‘I used to sit and think, “This isn’t how I imagined it would look,” and I was confused as to why I felt like it looked one way for other people, but then one way for me.

‘I didn’t feel like I was enjoying it really but, as the months pᴀssed, I feel like I’ve really found my feet with it now. I love motherhood so much.’

The blonde beauty added that she is ‘really proud of the job’ she and Tommy have done so far with raising their little one.

Back in August, just before Molly-Mae and Tommy announced their split, the star claimed she was ‘solo parenting’ and ‘struggling’.

In a candid video posted on social media the Love Island star claimed she had spent weeks looking after their daughter Bambi on her own while her fiancé was absent from the family home working.

She posted the video just days before the bombshell announcement that the couple would be splitting after five years.

In the video, she said: ‘Actually I’ve been solo parenting for like, two weeks now, basically because Tommy’s just been so busy.

‘When he’s home from doing work and stuff, he’s so incredible and so helpful. I can’t say any different, like, he’s such an incredible dad, but I have been this week, like, just really… mum life has been mum lifing. I just feel like, at the minute I’ve been struggling a little bit.’

Elsewhere in her new series, the former Love Islander – who struggled with a secret health battle in the villa – said: ‘To be perfectly honest with you, what’s getting me through is the hope and the idea that Tommy and I will end up back together. All I want is for us to work.’

In the documentary, Molly – who recently shut down questions about their split -reacted to her New Year’s eve kiss with ex-fiancé Tommy, which led fans to claim the breakup was a publicity stunt.

Her manager Fran called her, explaining: ‘Oh my god it has come out right this second.’

Molly put her head in her hands and said: ‘No, oh my god, what. Molly-Mae and Tommy kiss on New Year’s eve… that is so bad.’

The influencer previously said on the show: ‘I don’t know what the future holds for us, I would be lying if I said my love just disappeared over night.’

On Wednesday, Tommy, 25, gave an emotional interview with Men’s Health -carefully timed days before the release of Molly-Mae’s documentary – where he revealed his own drinking problem for the first time and admitted his mental health was ‘in the pan’.

It comes after her ex-fiancé Tommy Fury finally detailed the reasons why he and Molly split in August, saying it was because he had become dependent on alcohol following a boxing injury (pictured together)

Amid rumours that their August 2024 break-up was a publicity stunt, Tommy spoke candidly about his mental-health battle and insisted he has never cheated on Molly-Mae – calling rumours about other women ‘complete and utter b***ocks ‘.

‘The reason why me and Molly broke up was because I got addicted to alcohol and I couldn’t be the partner that I wanted to be anymore,’ he confessed.

‘It kills me to say it, [but] it’s true, I couldn’t. I loved a pint of beer, loved to drink, and it is what it is. People go through different things in life and we all have our crosses to bear. I’ve got mine to bear.’

He stated that his ‘mental health was in the pan’ during his recovery from surgery, which came off the back of ‘the best year I’ve ever had’ in 2023 which saw both his career and life with Molly flourish.

Molly-Mae: Behind It All eps 1-3 launch exclusively on Prime Video on 17th January. The latter three episodes will drop in Spring 2025.
