The trailer for Amazon Prime’s upcoming rom com starring Reese Witherspoon and Will Ferrell has dropped.
You’re Cordially Invited debuts on the streamer on January 30 and promises hijinks and hilarity as Reese and Will find themselves at the coastal North Carolina inn that they both booked for the weekend.
Reese’s younger sister is getting married and Will’s daughter is tying the knot in separate weddings and each of them are determined to win the battle of wills and prove their wedding was booked first.
In one scene in the trailer, Will lies in bed holding an alligator whom he presumes is ᴅᴇᴀᴅ. ‘I caught this guy, and I was gonna unleash him! But then I wrestled him too hard, and now I think he’s ᴅᴇᴀᴅ,’ he says.
They decide to share the venue, unaware that disaster awaits both weddings.

Forgetting Sarah Marshall director Nicholas Stoller wrote, directed and produced the film. Will and Reese also share producer тιтles.
Reese and Will previously acted together in sketches like The Fishy Little Mermaid and Celebrity Jeopardy when she hosted NBC’s Saturday Night Live back in 2001.
One of Ferrell’s most iconic SNL sketches is the one in which he plays an overzealous cowbell player.
In the documentary SNL50: Beyond Saturday Night Ferrell recalled how Walker reacted to that sketch
Ferrell went to see Walken in a play a few weeks after the SNL episode.
‘You know, you’ve ruined my life … every show, people bring cowbells for the curtain call and bang them. It’s quite disconcerting,’ Walken said to him.
The cowbell sketch originally aired on April 5, 2000, in a sketch about the fictional process of Blue Oyster Cult recording their hit song, (Don’t Fear) The Reaper.
The band was played by then SNL cast members Chris Parnell, Jimmy Fallon, Chris Kattan and Horatio Sanz.

The band was annoyed at Ferrell’s cowbell, but fictional record exec Bruce Dickinson played by Walken encourages him to play the instrument harder.
Walken’s character says, ‘I’ve got a fever – and the only prescription is more cowbell.’
Fans can next get a dose of Ferrell’s brand of comedy on Friday, January 16 when he appears on Travis Kelce and Jason Kelce’s New Heights podcast.
‘We’re back with not just one episode this week, but two,’ Jason Kelce stated. ‘That’s right. You’re gonna get two new episodes of ‘New Heights’ this week.
‘This Friday, we will drop a guest episode with the one and only Will Ferrell!’
