Sonia prepares to face her fate in court, Ian creeps back to Cindy, George makes a shocking discovery, Ruby’s on a mission and Phil’s a party pooper next week on Albert Square.

1. Sonia’s friends and family rally around

With Sonia’s trial around the corner, Jack, Reiss and Martin show their support 

As Sonia’s trial continues, Jack, Reiss and Martin head to court to support her.

However, things go awry at the trial when Reiss causes a scene. 

Trying to do what’s best for her unborn child, Sonia makes a huge decision that will have major consequences.

2. Ruby is bitten by the green-eyed monster

Ruby appears jealous over the fact that Martin and Stacey have been spending time together 

Ruby is jealous that the battle for the market is seeing Martin spend more and more time with Stacey. 

Later, she reveals the good news that Roman is ready to be discharged from hospital, but she’s upset when Martin continues to be distracted by the market business.

3. Jack and Denise are in a quandary

What is going to happen next with Denise and Jack? 

Recent events are on the minds of both Denise and Jack. 

How long can the pair continue to hide what’s going on in both their lives from each other?

4. Cindy homeless

After the Christmas Day episode, Cindy doesn’t know who to truth in the Square 

Cindy is shaken and unsure who to trust, but there’s worse to come when Reiss tells her she has to find a new place to stay. 

Ian arrives to see her and after the pair share a heart to heart, he persuades Cindy to join him at The Vic. 

But once she arrives, Elaine, George and Gina soon make their feelings known.

5. Ruby joins the cause

Ruby wants to get involved with the council meetings

The pressure is on Martin when the meeting with the council is brought forward.

Seeing his stress and wanting to feel involved, Ruby offers to step in at the last minute to help and attends the meeting.

6. The market fight turns nasty

A fight breaks out during the community meeting 

At the community centre, the meeting over the future of the market gets underway.

The market traders are quick to make their feelings known to Councillor Barker, but when Ruby speaks up, things soon take a turn as she ends up in a big argument with Barker.

7. Elaine steps in

Elaine lures Ian to The Vic so that George can spend some time with her 

The Knights are shocked that Ian and Cindy seem close again, and when Ian refuses to let George speak to Cindy, Elaine lures Ian to The Vic to allow George to get some time with her. 

As George questions Ian’s motives for letting Cindy back in his life, Ian arrives back and the two men end up arguing. 

But could one of them be trying to cover their tracks over shovelgate?

8. Bianca’s escape plan

Bianca tries to get Reiss to confess what has happened 

Reiss heads to the lock-up to visit Bianca and tells her what happened in court. 

As he breaks down, Bianca tries to persuade Reiss to confess. 

Reiss goes to leave, but Bianca makes a last-minute bid to win him over and outlines a plan. 

However, just as she’s starting to win him round, some misjudged words send Reiss into a spin and he walks out.

9. Date night turns awkward

There is a very awkward date night including Sharon and Jack

Nicola decides to cause some mischief and wind up Teddy by inviting him and Sharon and him on a double date with her and Jack. 

However, things backfire and it’s Nicola who ends up red-faced as the evening plays out.

10. Phil’s in no mood to party

Phil isn’t interested in hearing what happened with Ben’s trip

Callum returns from the US and Phil has no interest in hearing about Ben or his trip.

Later, Nigel and Callum join forces to arrange a belated birthday celebration for Phil, but it’s clear that Phil just wants a quiet night in. 

A crestfallen Nigel has to head to The Vic and break the news to Sharon and the Mitchell clan.

11. Will Reiss change Sonia’s future?

Reiss decides to support Sonia at court  

Back on the Square, Reiss is comforted by Ruby whose words give him food for thought. 

At the court, Jack and Martin watch on as Sonia prepares to accept her fate.

However, Reiss arrives at the eleventh hour, having clearly come to a decision.

12. A shock discovery for George

Georgia and Elaine clash at the Vic 

After the altercation with Ian, George returns home furious and heads to the barrel store to let out his anger. 

However, a shocking discovery stops him in his tracks. George and Elaine are soon pointing the finger at each other, but later decide to quiz Anna and Gina. 

Is one of the pub’s residents hiding a dark secret?

13. Can Sharon and Nigel help Phil?

Sharon and Nigel speak about Phil together at the Vic 

Yolande is keen for Nigel to come with her to church, but he’s clearly more concerned about Phil’s welfare. 

Later, Sharon gets Nigel alone and quizzes him about Phil. 

Can Phil’s two oldest friends on the Square find a way to help him?

14. Ruby goes rogue

Ruby decides to put together a risky plan 

Ruby is deflated after the meeting with the council, but when she later runs into Councillor Barker it sparks an idea. 

Soon, she embarks on her risky plan, but how will Martin react when he discovers what she’s done?

15. Tensions at the Vic

Tensions reach boiling point at the Vic

In the fallout of the discovery in the barrel store, George and Elaine’s relationship with Anna and Gina is strained. 

Later, however, Anna is in for another shock when she walks in on a secret conversation between Gina and Harry at the Arches.
