While the Los Angeles fires continue to burn, a relief event is happening tomorrow featuring Black Eyed Peas singer Will.I.Am.
The 49-year-old singer (born William James Adams Jr.) – who was embroiled in a legal battle over a hit song – was announced in the lineup for an event dubbed L.A. Check In.
The event was announced by D-Nice, with the lineup also including DJ Meka Lolita, Etienne Maurice and more on his Instagram.
The event will be live streamed from Will.I.Am’s FYI Studios with support from the Annenberg Foundation, Will.I.Am’s I.Am Angel Foundation and WalkGood LA.
The event will take place Thursday, January 16 and will stream live D-Nice’s Instagram and on Will.I.Am’s YouTube channel.
‘My friends!! Join me TOMORROW at 6 PM for the first night of LA CHECK IN – Inspiration and Information to Support Los Angeles Fire Victims and First Responders,’ D-Nice said on his Instagram post.

‘I’ll be LIVE from will.i.am’s FYI studios with @djhed, beats and a roll call of resilient Angelenos sharing stories of hope, and resources,’ he added.
He also encouraged his 3.2 million followers to, ‘CHECK IN on Instagram Live or Will.I.Am’s YouTube channel.’

The event is said to be in the same vein as D-Nice’s beloved Club Quarantine, the virtual dance parties he hosted on Instagram live during COVID-19 lockdown.
The Annenberg Foundation website added the event is, ‘a livestream benefit supporting individuals and organizations impacted by the devastating Los Angeles wildfires.’
The event will feature live DJ sets from D-Nice and DJ Hed, described as, ‘uplifting, soulful sets designed to inspire and connect.’
Maurice will also be joined by, ‘local heroes’ who will provide, ‘firsthand accounts of resilience during and after the wildfires.’
The event will also offer viewers to donate funds to support recovery efforts for first responders, evacuees and displaced workers.
Celebrities such as Billy Crystal, Paris Hilton, Adam Brody and Leighton Meester, Milo Ventimiglia, Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag have lost their homes in the Palisades fire.

While many of the smaller fires are contained, the Palisades Fire has currently burned nearly 24K acres and is just 21% contained.
The other major blaze – the Eaton Fire that has ravaged Altadena and areas of Pasadena, has burned over 14K acres and is at 45% contained.
25 people have died in the fires, with over 13,000 structures damaged or destroyed during the fires.
The Los Angeles Police Department also announced Wednesday that they have apprehended two more arson suspects, bringing the total arrests related to the blazes up to 60, on charges including arson, buglary and more.
