Iggy Azalea’s fans condemned the alleged actions of her child’s father Playboi Carti on social media, after the Fancy artist said in a Twitch stream that neither she or her four-year-old son Onyx had seen him in six months.

‘Love Carti but it’s lowkey giving ᴅᴇᴀᴅbeat dad…’ one fan said, while another suggested that one can co-parent ‘without having to talk to’ your child’s mother.

The Sydney, Australia-born musical artist, 34, sat alongside streamer Amouranth, 31, on Tuesday, saying, ‘Someone’s saying tell Playboi Carti to drop.’

The four-time Grammy nominee then clarified the half-year absence of Playboi Carti, 29, from her life and their son’s life.

‘I don’t speak to him, my love – we haven’t heard from that man in over like six months,’ said Azalea, whose real name is Amethyst Kelly.

Azalea – who has collaborated with performers including Jennifer Lopez, Britney Spears and Ariana Grande – made clear neither she nor her son were struggling with the absence of the rapper, whose full name is Jordan Terrell Carter.

‘We don’t know where he is,’ Azalea said of Playboy Carti, who she began dating in 2018 and welcomed Onyx with two years later. ‘Have no idea, have no ᴀssociation.

‘You have to tell somebody that that speaks to wherever he is – we don’t know or care.’

A number of fans expressed critical words for Playboy Carti following Azalea’s comments.

‘I can’t fathom how you could abandon your child and be okay with that,’ said one fan.

Another said it was sad that the child hadn’t ‘heard from his dad in 6 months.’

One fan suggested that Playboy Carti ‘can’t be [a] real man’ if he’s neglecting to spend time with his son, while another praised Azalea, saying, ‘At least onyx has a mom.’

While Azalea did not expound on her financial arrangement with Playboy Carti in caring for their son, one fan said that it’s ‘crazy how you can be a millionaire and a ᴅᴇᴀᴅbeat dad at the same time.’

Azalea has had financial success in ventures outside of her music career, with lucrative endeavors in OnlyFans and cryptocurrency. Last June, she launched a memecoin called Mother Iggy ($MOTHER).

Some fans took to Playboy Carti’s defense, saying that he was too young to remember, and that Playboy Carti was laser-focused on making new material.

‘He locked in [100 percent] bro’s ignoring his family and fans this album gonna be generational,’ one fan said.

Another noted Onyx is ‘only 4 years old’ and ‘not gonna remember it.’

Azalea last summer, appearing on the Dinner’s on Me podcast with Jesse Tyler Ferguson, revealed she was ‘very much a single mother’ in her parenting situation.

‘I’m very much the only parent,’ she said. ‘No disrespect, but I am not co-parenting, really – that’s just the reality of it – it’s 24/7.’
