The late Lisa Marie Presley had an interesting reaction when her eldest child, daughter Riley Keough, got arrested for breaking and entering around the tender age of 15.

The 35-year-old granddaughter of Elvis Presley was in the midst of a ‘rebellious’ stage when she snuck out to attend a party at what she believed was a friend’s house in Los Angeles.

‘It was [actually] a house for sale,’ Riley (born Danielle) admitted on the Call Her Daddy podcast Wednesday.

‘The police came and most people got away. And then about 10 of us got arrested. My mom was pi**ed. She was like, “This is on you, girl!”‘

When Keough asked Presley – who was in Las Vegas – to pick her up from jail, she replied: ‘”I can’t get there!” So she sent my aunt to come get me.’

Luckily, the Emmy nominee’s arrest did not make any headlines and it was her only brush with the law, but Lisa Marie did ground her for three months around her birthday.

Sunday marked the second anniversary of Presley’s tragic death, at age 54 from ‘small bowel obstruction’ as a result of bariatric surgery she underwent several years prior.

Lisa Marie never got over the death of her and ex-husband #1 Danny Keough’s son Benjamin Keough, at age 27, in 2020 from a self-inflicted sH๏τgun wound inside her former $1.8M Calabasas mansion.

On October 8, Random House published Presley’s 272-page posthumous memoir From Here to the Great Unknown (which Riley co-wrote), and it reached the No. 2 spot on the New York Times bestseller list.

On February 4, Keough and SAG Award-winning stuntman Ben Smith-Petersen will celebrate their 10th wedding anniversary, and they’re trying to give their two-year-old daughter Tupelo a relatively normal childhood upbringing.

‘I think [Lisa Marie] was such an amazing parent and she wanted us to have, I think like her father [Elvis Presley] did, these amazing experiences all the time,’ the Chanel SS/25 performer explained.

‘For me personally, I think that the problem there could be for some that when you’re used to so much, it’s hard to find joy in simple things.

‘And so I really want my children to be able to find joy playing in the backyard and doing normal kids stuff and not need elephants and circus and all these things all the time.’

Riley originally met the Australian 33-year-old in 2012 on the sandy set of Mad Max: Fury Road, and he reprised his role as Ace Warboy in Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga last year.

Keough has three upcoming films – Noah Baumbach’s coming-of-age Netflix movie Jay Kelly, The Zellner brothers’ alien invasion comedy Alpha Gang, and Karim Aïnouz’s drama thriller Rosebush Pruning.

In 2023, the Cannes Camera D’Or winner paid a $1M settlement and $400K in legal fees to her grandmother Priscilla Presley so she could legally became the sole trustee of Lisa Marie’s estate as well as the sub-trusts belonging to her 16-year-old half-sisters Finley and Harper Lockwood.
