Paris Hilton praised for raising staggering amount in 72 hours for LA fires relief after Malibu house destroyed

Paris Hilton shared some positive news about her work aiding LA fire victims, following the heartbreaking loss of her own Malibu home.

The 43-year-old H๏τel heiress posted an update via Instagram on Tuesday about the emergency fund she and her nonprofit 11:11 Media Impact set up to help displaced families and their pets.

‘In just 72 hours, we’ve raised $800K for the displaced families of the Los Angeles fires. Let’s push to $1 million! Thank you to everyone who has shown your support for our city!’ she wrote.

Hilton also mentioned she’s already donated $150,000 into GoFundMe’s Wildfire Relief Fund to provide immediate cash help to 150 families in Altadena who lost their homes

‘Cash ᴀssistance provides dignity and choice,’ Hilton explained. ‘Families know best what they need right now—whether it’s clothes, shelter, or medicine. Together, we’re helping families rebuild on their own terms and gain stability during this devastating time.’

Along with her financial support, Paris also pitched in to help the Pasadena Humane Society reunite a cat separated from its family by the Eaton Fire, which destroyed their home.

The cat was found after the fire tore through neighborhoods in Altadena, and Paris visited the shelter to check on the kitty, asking her fans to help find its owner.

Along with her major donation, Hilton revealed that she will match ‘additional dollars raised up to $100,000 more’ and plans to volunteer in person.

The mother-of-two wrote: ‘My heart is with everyone impacted by the devastating fires here in LA. While I’ve lost my Malibu home, my thoughts are with the countless families who have lost so much more — their homes, cherished keepsakes, the communities they loved, and their sense of stability.

‘As a mom, I can’t imagine the pain and fear of not having a safe place for your babies so I’m launching an emergency fund through my nonprofit 11:11 Media Impact to support displaced families with young children.

‘I’m starting with a personal contribution of $100,000, and will be matching additional dollars raised up to $100,000 more. I am looking for others to donate and match alongside me to do our part!’

Over 130,000 people have been forced to evacuate as wildfires continue to devastate Southern California, with at least 24 lives lost so far.

For some A-listers, the destruction has hit way too close to home, as their multi-million dollar mansions have been wiped out by the flames.

Celebrities like Anthony Hopkins, John Goodman, Miles Teller, Billy Crystal, Mandy Moore, and Jen Atkin are among those who’ve tragically lost their homes in the fires.

Paris’ wildfire relief fund was set up following the loss of her own Malibu property, which burned down live on TV.

She and her husband, Carter Reum, had lived in the 3,000-square-foot beachfront house for nearly four years before it was destroyed by the Palisades fire on Wednesday.

The couple bought the home for $8.4 million in June 2021, according to Realtor.com.

Hilton, who has two one-year-old kids with Reum, shared her heartbreak on Instagram, calling the loss ‘heartbreaking beyond words.’

‘This home was where we built so many precious memories,’ Paris wrote. ‘It’s where Phoenix took his first steps and where we dreamed of building a lifetime of memories with London.’

She went on to say, ‘While the loss is overwhelming, I’m holding onto graтιтude that my family is safe. My heart and prayers are going out to every family affected by these fires.

‘To all the people who have lost their homes, their memories, and their beloved pets, my heart aches for those still in harm’s way or mourning greater losses.’
