Despite the absence of the show’s former lead Kevin Costner, who left the show amid a feud with its creator Taylor Sheridan, season 5B has done respectable numbers.
On the December 1 episode, Taylor, 54, could be seen as rough-hewn horse trader Travis Wheatley while Bella played his girlfriend Sadie.
Bella’s real life boyfriend Adan Banuelos, an actual cowboy who at 28 became the youngest-ever inductee in the NCHA Riders Hall of Fame, also had a cameo.
The casting decisions were met with raised eyebrows on X, formerly Twitter, where observers were quick to mock Taylor for the move.
