Katy Perry made a statement as she performed jaw-dropping aerial stunts as she took to the stage during the Rock in Rio Festival in Brazil on Friday.
The Dark Horse songstress, 39 – who recently celebrated the release of her new album 143 – belted out lyrics to a number of hits for fans in the crowd, such as Firework and The One That Got Away.
The mother-of-one wowed in a ɴuᴅᴇ-colored, latex bodysuit that clung to her toned frame, and contained silver, chrome embellishments on the shiny material.
Perry slipped into a pair of over-the-knee, white shoes and allowed her dark locks to effortlessly flowed down past her shoulders in light waves.
At one point during the performance, Katy was lifted into the air above the cheering audience by various rope-like pieces that seemingly glowed with the stage lights.
The ropes were hooked to a belt that wrapped around her lower waist, which was layered with a shimmering, silver fabric.
As she was lifted above the stage, Katy flashed a big smile on her face and lifted her arms into the air.
Smoke from a machine could be seen moving around her for a dramatic effect while momentarily in front of a black screen.
Perry was then seen performing another daring stunt as she went horizontal in front of a bright, circular light behind her.
Back on the spacious stage, the songstress was joined by backup dancers who sported silver ensembles and performed choreography with Katy.
Her makeup was glammed up for the festival, and comprised of voluminous lashes as well as a smoky, light purple shadow around her eyes.
She opted for a bold pink blush and highlighter for a radiant glow, while a pink-colored tint was worn on her lips for a finishing touch.
Perry kicked off her performance by singing hit tracks including Woman’s World – which is found on her album 143 – as well as California Gurls and Teenage Dream.
She then brought a surprise guest onto the stage to join her and performed an acoustic version of Time After Time alongside Cyndi Lauper.
A lucky fan also had the chance to step onto the stage with Perry – who taught them the Swish Swish dance in front of the crowd.
Katy also performed an acoustic version of her 2010 song, The One That Got Away. The star had previously sang the track at the 2011 Rock in Rio festival.
During the past performance, she notably cried onstage after receiving a text message from ex-husband, Russell Brand, telling her he wanted a divorce shortly before she took to the stage.
Perry later further showcased her musical skills as she played the electric guitar during H๏τ N Cold.
While singing Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F), the star stepped off the stage to better engage with fans in the audience at Cidade do Rock.
And to close out the show, the award-winning songstress belted out lyrics to Firework.
At one point during the performance, Katy also gave a sweet shout out to Orlando Bloom as well as their daughter, Daisy, four.
