She may be Hollywood royalty, but Zendaya looks perfectly at home in London.
The star of the Dune franchise showed how at ease she is in boyfriend Tom Holland’s city as she enjoyed some shopping, followed by lunch in nearby Notting Hill.
In Richmond, the upmarket suburb that the acting power couple call home, locals look out for them, dubbing them their very own Will and Kate.
Protective residents have an unspoken ‘leave them alone’ rule when they are spotted out walking or enjoying a drink in their local pub.
The pair met on the set of Spider-Man in 2016 and have been an item since 2021. They share a £2.6 million home in Richmond near to where Holland, 28, was brought up.
Zendaya, 27, a Hollywood veteran from the age of 14, apparently prefers a stroll in Richmond Park or along the Thames to walking the red carpet in LA in a designer gown.
The couple have also been spotted quietly enjoying date nights at nearby pub The Norbiton, where they can be seen sharing stone-fired pizza, and shopping without fanfare in their local supermarket.
One Richmond resident told The Mail on Sunday: ‘We see them around the whole time. Tom’s such a family man so he’s stayed around the area and she loves it apparently.
‘Anyone who’s served them is the first to tell you about it and I’ve always heard they’re really polite and considerate. She apparently loves it here because no one asks her for pictures.
‘But we all have this unsaid rule to sort of leave them alone. You might see them in Waitrose occasionally and give them a nod but nothing more.’
Holland, who is currently starring as Romeo in Romeo and Juliet in the West End, bought a relatively modest four-bedroom house in Richmond in 2018, close to his family.
One person said: ‘It’s sort of become a game among us locals: who can spot the silver Porsche because that is usually how we look out for Tom and Zendaya.’
Having spent the first half of the year promoting Challengers, a romantic comedy centred around tennis, Zendaya has been enjoying a very British summer, including an appearance in the royal box at Wimbledon.
Richmond is no stranger to Hollywood big names, with Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt, George Clooney and Sandra Bullock all having lived there.
