Coronation Street’s Rebecca Ryan has given birth to her second child as she announced the news with a sweet snap posted to Instagram on Sunday. 

The soap actress, 33, who played Lydia Chambers on Coronation Street from 2021 to 2022, welcomed the newborn after she and her husband Dan Acraman, who she married in September 2022, welcomed their first in April 2023. 

Taking to social media, Rebecca shared an adorable snap of her new baby girl dressed in a beige baby grow while lying on a pink fluffy blanket. 

Sharing the family’s new arrival, she penned: ‘Introducing the newest member of my little girl gang, the adorable Oriana.’

And her Corrie star brother Jack James has appeared to be every inch the doting uncle as he shared a sweet snap to own social media holding the newborn alongside his first daughter, Aurora.

Rebecca first revealed she was pregnant in January and playfully joked about her exciting news, stating that ‘sleep was overrated’.

Revealing her jovial news to her followers, the TV star shared an array of stunning snaps proudly showing off her blossoming baby bump.

She captioned her album: ‘Sleeps overrated anyway, here comes baby No.2’ alongside a red heart emoji.

Her friends and family flocked to her comments box to congratulate the actress.

Rebecca’s brother, Jack – who starred in Coronation Street as Jacob Hay from 2021 until 2023 – was among those commenting.

He penned: ‘Can’t wait to meet my new best mate.’

Glamour model Rhian Sugden added: ‘Here she issssss!’ alongside a string of heart-eyed emojis.

Meanwhile, a fan typed: ‘Awhhh amazing, congratulations to you all’ alongside red heart emojis.

Rebecca’s news comes nearly two years after she welcomed her first baby.

At the time, she shared an adorable snap of her daughter cuddled up in a white blanket and sleeping in a striped onesie as she announced her baby’s arrival.

In an accompanying caption, Rebecca revealed that she and her husband Dan had named her baby daughter Aurora.

She wrote: ‘Welcome to the world my beautiful baby girl Aurora.’ 

She was quickly flooded with congratulatory messages from her co-stars and other famous pals as they took to the comments section. 

Rebecca rose to fame on Channel 4 comedy series Shameless, and is now known for playing Lydia in the ITV programme.
