Zendaya is back in the states after jetting off to promote her new movie, Spiderman: Far From Home.

The Disney alum rocked her freshly-dyed red hair as she strolled through JFK pushing her luggage.

While she isn’t playing Mary Jane in the film, she paid homage to the iconic role with the new color as MJ did in the comics.

The 22-year-old dressed in an over sized sweater with her hair in a bun as she aimlessly strolled through the airport.

She appeared in a daze as she was caught off guard by paparazzi. She later took to Instagram to share her surprise.

‘There was paparazzi at the airport in NY (which never happens to me) I was not prepared! Tried to use @darnellappling as a shield lmao. Excited to see how these babies turned out lmao,’ she shared on her story.

 In the new film alongside Tom Holland, Zendaya takes on the role of Michelle Jones, MJ, for short. The Disney darling received a lot of backlash for taking on the role as the old-school MJ had red-hair and was white.

While she’s been sweeping the bitterness under the rug, she has been all smiles while promoting her new movie as well as hew new television show on HBO, Euphoria.

The star plays a troubled teen going through the stages of life while battling addiction, social media, and trauma.

She’s had a jam-packed schedule lately and it looks like she doesn’t have any plans on stopping anytime soon.

Earlier this year, it was announced that the actress was cast in a new adaptation of Frank Herbert’s classic science fiction novel Dune and filming is already underway.

Spiderman: Far From Home is out in theaters on July 2nd and new episodes of Euphoria release every Sunday evening.
