Stacey Solomon responds to a troll who says she looks like a horse as she admits she couldn’t help but address the ‘horrible’ comment

Stacey Solomon has responded to a troll who told her she looks like a ‘horse’ in a new Instagram video shared to her Stories on Thursday afternoon.

The comment in question was a horse emoji with the word mouth next to it which was posted underneath one of Stacey’s recent updates.

The TV presenter, 35, said she was unable to ignore the ‘horrible’ comment despite usually flicking past any negativity on her social media platform.

Stacey, who is a mother of five, took a video of herself discussing the comment and how it made her feel, as she admitted she ‘couldn’t get away from it’.

She said: ‘I don’t usually read my messages, or reply to them. Well I read the nice ones, I don’t read the horrible ones.

‘But this message is literally staring me in the face, it’s at the top of my comments on my last story. So I couldn’t get away from it.’

‘I don’t know if I’m supposed to be offended or take it as a compliment. But I actually think horses are really pretty.’

Stacey then told her driver Steve what had happened, saying: ‘Steve someone has commented a picture of me with a horse.’

Steve replied: ‘Who? A picture of you?, Stacey then added: ‘Steve’s not having it! Horses are quite pretty Steve.’

He then sweetly said: ‘Maybe it’s because of your nice teeth.’

She later updated fans with a new post, writing: ‘Love you all. Honestly I have the best family on here ever! Genuinely I don’t mind what people think of me. Truly I feel bad for mean people.

‘But I think that’s mostly because I have the most amazing family, the most supportive friends (like Steve) & the nicest extended family on here.

‘So thank you for being a mᴀssive part of my confidence and happiness. I love you all. And we must protect Steve at all costs.’

Stacey suffered some heat recently when her followers turned on her over her ill-judged BAFTA rant after losing out on a prize at the  2025 BAFTA Television Awards.

Stacey’s fans have branded her ‘enтιтled’ and ‘big-headed’ after she furiously ranted at the BAFTA judges in an Instagram post.

Fans were left less than impressed by the ‘whinging’ mother-of-five as they told her to ‘get a grip’ and to stopping being a ‘bad loser’.

The presenter’s BBC show Sort Your Life Out was nominated in the Factual Entertainment category but lost out to Rylan Clark and Rob Rinder’s Grand Tour.

However, while she congratulated the winners, Stacey couldn’t help but reveal how ‘gutted’ she was for her team who ‘deserved’ the award as she declared that they were ‘robbed’.

Fans claimed Stacey is starting to ‘show her true colours’ compared to her usual wholesome demeanor and told the BBC presenter to ‘grow up’ and that she has ‘got too big for her boots’.

They wrote: ‘She’s not as wholesome as she comes across; It’s called life Stacey so get a grip; Be thankful for where you are and remind yourself where you came from. Stop whinging;

‘Grow up. Don’t be a bad loser. Others were better. You smile and shut up; 1st world problems of the 1%;

‘Oh Shut up will you….. just remind yourself that, you can go home to a nice tidy warm and friendly house, food in the fridge, heat in the radiators and a loving family;

‘Showing her true colours – worthy of being cancelled; Get real Stace. Just because YOU want it doesn’t mean you deserve it; Getting too big for her boots me thinks;

‘She gone so big headed!!!!; Enтιтlement is off the charts;

‘It’s ok to be disappointed for the team, but thinking you should have won a BAFTA because the show you make is hard work is just ludicrous. You took the job. I’m sure get paid handsomely for it. A lot of truly hardworking people don’t get well paid and don’t expect an award, or even think they deserve one.’

However not everyone agreed and others believed Stacey was being ‘refreshingly honestly’ and was simply just ‘disappointed for her team’.

They penned: ‘I don’t think she was letting rip she was just saying she was disappointed for her team. She wasn’t ranting;

‘Why is it unwholesome admitting that you’re really disappointed? I think it’s refreshingly honest!’

In the midst of the backlash, Rylan himself also took to Instagram to reflect on his BAFTA win, alongside a gallery of snaps from the evening.

In a lengthy caption, he wrote: ‘Last night we won a @bafta.

‘I never expected to be writing this post but I’m so grateful. I’m so so proud of what we made with Rob and Rylan.

‘Our wonderful team did such a fantastic job creating a show that became something really special. I couldn’t have asked for a better lot of people around me.

‘To @robrinder thank you for being an amazing human and sharing this wonderful journey with me, we truly are the best of friends and I’m so glad to share this win with you

‘To @staceysolomon , @raceacrosstheworld and @britishvogue it’s an honour to have shared a category with you. Congratulations on your incredible shows.

‘And finally to @bafta , cheers for this incredible honour and from little Rylan on the Xfactor, just goes to show, it might be a rocky start but if you put your mind to it, it all works out in the end. Started off as the joke…. Still laughing xxxx.’

On Monday morning, Stacey, who was dressed in a green Nike sweater and blue cycle shorts, watered her vegetable patch while expressing to her fans how she felt about the loss.

Laughing at her reaction, she continued: ‘I’m not handling it very well, I’m not taking it very gracefully – I’m devastated! I’m devastated for our whole team, like I’m so gutted for our team.

‘Everyone got dressed up and was really hopeful, I think because they work so hard. It’s not an easy show to make, Sort Your Life Out and the team work so hard to make it happen and they so deserve the BAFTA.

‘The Sort Your Life Out team deserved a BAFTA and I’m devastated. I’m not saying that everyone else didn’t deserve their BAFTAs, they absolutely did.

‘People think making TV is really easy and it’s not, so everyone deserves recognition. But I’m just gutted for my whole Sort Your Life Out family because I feel like they deserved a BAFTA. I’m gonna say it – I’m gutted!’

Going on to reveal what it takes to make their show, she went on: ‘We’ll pack up a house and within seven days that house is packed up, into vans, over to a warehouse, laid out on the floor, we go through it meticulously, we make sure it doesn’t just get chucked away. We donate, we recycle, we resell things. We put it all back and try and put it in systems to help families move forward…’

She also gave a shout out to the families who give up their time and open their homes to TV audiences, especially when they run the risk of being judged.

Waving her hose in the air, a fuming Stacey concluded: ‘I’m gutted!’ before praising her whole team and noting they planned to give it their all for series six.

Meanwhile, the wife of Joe Swash also made her feelings clear in the comments section of her co-star Dilly Carter’s post.

Professional organizer Dilly penned a somewhat more gracious message after losing out on the prize, noting that she was chuffed to even be nominated.

Alongside a red carpet video, she said: ‘Walking out, like we walked in, with our heads high and super proud of what we have achieved as a show, as a production.

‘It’s so easy in these moments to feel sad because we haven’t won and forget about where we actually are. In a room full of incredible talent. But in the actual room.

‘Some people dream of their show being nominated so for us to have been nominated twice is unreal. So let’s celebrate the show and just how far it’s come. It wasn’t so long ago we were just filming a pilot.

‘Huge congrats to @rylan and @robrinder. Thank you for all the love and support as always. Now let’s get back to filming series 6.’
