One of radio’s biggest stars has reportedly signed up for the next celebrity version of The Great British Bake Off.
Edith Bowman is set to test her culinary skills in the famous tent for the upcoming Stand Up To Cancer special, according to The Sun.
The radio and TV personality, 51, is the latest star rumoured to be taking part, alongside Molly-Mae Hague and JoJo Siwa, with sources claiming she is expected to do very well.
A TV insider told the publication: ‘Edith always goes down a treat with viewers. She’s warm, enthusiastic and a lot of fun, and show bosses are delighted to have her on board.
‘Her radio day job sees her juggling lots of different things all at once so it should stand her in good stead when she films her episode in the tent.’

Edith recently opened up on her ability to ‘keep lots of plates spinning’ as she admitted staying relevant in the entertainment industry is a constant battle, with the pressure of having ’50 people’ always chasing your job.
She told The Sun in April: ‘I try to keep lots of plates spinning so that when one door shuts I’m kind of kicking through another and I can get in there, I’m terrible at saying no, and I don’t do myself any favours in terms of how much workload I put on myself.
‘But I love what I do and I know there’s another 50 people there who can do as good a job and that they can pick up that opportunity, so I feel I’ve got to make the most of it while I can.’
Last year, it emerged Edith’s three-year stint presenting the BBC Hogmanay show has ended, with 32-year-old Amy Irons taking her place.
It followed the Scottish star also being replaced by Shereen Cutkelvin, 27, as the host of the network’s TRNSMT Festival coverage during the summer.
The DJ has previously spoken about being ‘edged out’ by Radio One and how she felt ‘let down’ when her weekday afternoon slot was moved to the quieter weekend breakfast show in 2009.
She said: ‘Lies and deceit are extremely strong words, but the discussions I’d been having with my boss were very far from what I was told in the meeting.’
Edith will reportedly join Molly-Mae, as she makes her come back to reality TV on the Channel 4 show for the first time since Love Island.

The influencer, 26, has been placed firmly in the spotlight since her break-up last year with Tommy Fury, which was chronicled in her Prime Video documentary, Molly-Mae: Behind it All.
A source told The Sun earlier this week: ‘She will be a great addition to the line-up and bring a healthy helping of Love island glamour to the tent.
‘Molly’s now one of Britain’s biggest TV stars and has seen her fame steadily grow since she first appeared on the ITV dating show back in 2019.’
While JoJo is also said to be going on the show after taking Celebrity Big Brother by storm earlier this year.
The Dance Moms star, 22, is said to have been scooped up by Channel 4 to film the celebrity spin-off in the midst of her huge surge in popularity in the UK.
A source told The Sun: ‘This is a bit of a coup for the Bake Off because Jojo is currently one of the most talked about young stars on TV right now.
‘She’s barely had time to catch her breath, leaving CBB last month amid huge media attention and heading straight into another huge show this month.’
They added that it’s a ‘fantastic gig for her’ because although she already has a fanbase over here, the baking show will also introduce her to a wider British audience.

A TV insider told The Sun: ‘Babatunde is guaranteed to be hilarious and will no doubt have plenty of banter with Paul, Noel, Caroline and Alison.
‘He’s not known for his prowess in the kitchen so there’s sure to be some panicky moments laced with the good humour he’s known for.
‘His energy on the Gogglebox sofa has always been pure positivity and very infectious, and bosses are hoping he’ll bring that to the tent.’
