Jeff Bezos and his fiancée Lauren Sanchez joined the stars in partying the night away at the amfAR Gala at Cannes Film Festival on Thursday night.

A whole host of A-list guests descended on the H๏τel du Cap-Eden-Roc for the exclusive fundraising spectacular, complete with music and dance performances.

Inside the VIP gala, celebrities were seen mingling around their tables as they were snapped catching up and partying the night away.

Amazon CEO Jeff, 61, and his partner Lauren, 55, were pH๏τographed chatting away to German supermodel Heidi Klum as she stopped by their table.

Lauren put on a busty display in a shimmering figure-hugging blue and silver gown, while Jeff cut a suave figure in a black tuxedo.

The Brutalist actor, 52, looked dapper in a tuxedo as he cuddled up to his glamorous partner, 49, who dazzled in a sequinned gown.

As the A-list stars socialised, Ciara took to the stage as she brought the house down with an energetic performance.

The American singer, 39, put on a leggy display in a plunging black gown and over-the-knee heeled boots as she sang her heart out on stage.

Teri Hatcher also took to the stage to present as the celebrity guests certainly seemed impressed by the line-up of talent at the fundraiser. 

The annual AmfAR Gala helps support the Foundation for AIDS Research by raising money and awareness for the important organisation.

Over the past 30 years, the highly-exclusive event has raised a total of over $265million for AIDS Research, with a huge $2.5million raked in last year alone.

Meanwhile, Barbara Palvin, 31, wowed in a white wedding dress like frock, which featured a plunging neckline and a daring thigh-high split.

Teri Hatcher, 60, opted for a classic black figure-hugging gown, with a daring thigh-high split and pointed toe heels.

Model Leomie Anderson showed off her jaw-dropping figure in a plunging yellow cut-out gown, and completed the look with black heels and gold jewellery.

The star-studded festival has seen its A-list guests wear ɴuᴅᴇ fashion looks on its red carpets in recent years, but stringent new rules have been enforced this year banning nudity.

However, Russian model Elena, 38, appeared to ignore the regulations as she opted to go braless while joining the annual fundraising event, which is a staple at Cannes.

Cannes – where filmmakers, sales agents and journalists gather from around the world – is the Olympics of the big screen, with its own golden prize, the Palme d’Or, to give out at the end.

Filmmakers come from nearly every corner of the globe to showcase their films while dealmakers work through the night to sell finished films or packaged productions to various territories.

Many Cannes veterans have returned, including Tom Cruise (Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning), Robert De Niro – who received an honorary Palme d´Or 49 years after Taxi Driver premiered in Cannes – and Quentin Tarantino, who paid tribute to low-budget Western director George Sherman. 

In recent years, Cannes has arguably won more attention for the outfits worn by its celebrity guests than the roster of feature films being screened on the Croisette.

Attracting more models and influencers than actors and filmmakers, the annual ceremony has seen an increase in risque red carpet fashion statements. 

But new nudity rules, for the ‘sake of decency’, have been implemented at this year’s festival.

Inside the luxurious gala dinner 

According to organisers, the austere move is an attempt to stifle the celebrity trend for ‘naked dresses’ – namely provocative outfits that reveal considerably more than they conceal – on the red carpet. 

‘For decency reasons, nudity is prohibited on the red carpet, as well as any other area of the festival,’ states a Cannes festival document.

‘The festival welcoming teams will be obligated to prohibit red carpet access to anyone not respecting these rules.’

It’s understood that the iconic venue now adopts a more conservative dress code, with suits, dinner jackets and floor-length evening gowns generally favoured over headline grabbing ensembles.

Classic little black dresses, cocktail dresses, pant-suits, dressy tops and elegant sandals, ‘with or without a heel’, will also be permitted.

While the decision to implement a more stringent policy will be a first, it is not known if French TV broadcasters, wary of airing nudity, played a role in its enforcement.Major red carpet events, including the Cannes Film Festival, are aired in France by France Télévisions.
