Holly Ramsay has revealed which famous face inspired her wedding dress style ahead of her nuptials to Olympic swimmer fiancé Adam Peaty.

Holly, 25, and Adam, 30, announced their engagement in September last year after dating for three years. 

And plans for her winter wedding are well and truly underway with the influencer having already selected her gown for the big day.

Speaking to MailOnline at the Sport Industry Awards she said of her dress: ‘I’m very excited. I’ll not say whether it’s traditional or not, because I don’t want to give anything away.’

But she did add: ‘I’ve always been a huge fan of Kate Middleton’s wedding dress, and the lace, and how traditional it is, so I took a lot of inspiration from her.’

She also told how all her family are so excited for the nuptials, writing: ‘Everyone has wedding fever! We’re all very excited, and the countdown in on.

‘There’s just something so English about getting married in the winter. I love summer, but winter is my favourite time of the year. 

‘I want the Christmas magic feeling of everyone coming together, to celebrate and have a great time.’

Her chef father is also overseeing the food on her big day. 

It comes after Holly and Adam announced their engagement last year with a slew of sweet Instagram snaps from their holiday in Mallorca. 

Influencer Holly was the first to share the news as she posted a series of sweet snaps together and wrote: ‘I am marrying my best friend. I truly cannot put into words how I am feeling right now. 

‘I still remember how big my smile was the morning I got home from my first date with you.’ 

‘Thank you for letting the little girl inside of me feel loved, seen and happier than ever. I love you & I cannot wait to be your wife.’

She went on to reference Adam’s son George, who he shares with ex-girlfriend Eirianedd Munro.

Holly continued: ‘I promise to always be there with you and George, I’m so grateful to be in his life and I cannot wait for more.’

Adam also shared a gushing post announcing the news, which came after he decided to take a break from swimming. 

In his heartfelt post, he praised his fiancée for sticking with him through his ‘lowest times’, following his highly-publicised battle with alcoholism and mental health.  

He penned: ‘I can’t believe you’re going to be my wife. I’m truly the luckiest man on earth to have such a gentle, caring and beautiful woman by my side. You fill my heart to the brim and give my soul peace.’

‘You have been with me when I’ve been at my lowest and helped me understand myself to navigate my own darkness.’

‘You have also celebrated the highs which have been so many, as for the first time in my life, I’m happy with the man I’ve become. You came to church with me and joined the incredible community we have there without a question.’

Adam continued: ‘Your family have always treated me so generously with their time, emotion and trust. I can’t wait to be joined with them too.’
