Coleen Rooney departs a boxing class as she films £10m fly-on-the-wall Disney reality show after Rebekah Vardy agreed to pay huge sum after losing Wagatha Christie showdown

Coleen Rooney looked in good spirits as she departed the gym in Cheshire on Tuesday morning as she filmed her new Disney reality show.

The WAG, 39, cut a sporty figure in a black lululemon tank top, which she teamed with a fitted jacket, leggings and matching trainers after a boxing class.

She draped a pair of boxing gloves over her arm and carried her large blue water bottle while being followed down the street by two huge TV cameras.

The I’m A Celeb star wore her brunette tresses in a low bun and the mother-of-four completed her daytime look with a pair of large sunglᴀsses.

Coleen is filming for her new fly-on-the-wall show, which comes following the success of her first Disney project, Coleen Rooney: The Real Wagatha Story.

The three-part series explores the events that led to Coleen’s infamous Instagram post accusing Rebekah Vardy of leaking stories about her to the press.

Following the post, Rebekah tried to sue Coleen for defamation but sensationally lost the high-profile libel case.

Earlier this month, MailOnline revealed Rebekah agreed to pay £1,190,000 of Coleen’s legal bill, and was ordered to pay a further £212,266 in ᴀssessment courts. This takes the total Rebekah must pay to at least £1,402,266.20.

Climbing into her 61-plate Overfinch Range Rover Sport, which cost her a cool £114,829, Coleen beamed as she filmed a close up in the front seat.

Coleen later stopped of at her local Waitrose as she was seen piling shopping bags in the boot of her car and placing son Kai’s recent football trophy on top.

Over the weekend, Kai showed off his burgeoning football talent once again after scoring a brace to help Manchester United Under 15s to silverware against Chelsea.

United’s youngsters beat the Blues’ 3-1 to win the Premier League National Floodlit Super Cup, having previously beaten Manchester City 4-3 to reach the final.

Kai, son of United great Wayne, has played a starring role in the Red Devils’ triumph, helping his side comeback from 3-0 down against City before scoring twice against the Blues.

Not only did the 15-year-old score twice to help his side win, he also ᴀssisted Jodie Nganga, playing a hand in all three goals.

Kai is doing his best to follow in the footsteps of his father Wayne and is making waves in the Red Devils academy, having initially joined in 2020.

Earlier this month, MailOnline revealed that Rebekah Vardy, 42, agreed to pay £1,190,000 of Coleen's legal bill, plus was ordered to pay a further £212,266 in ᴀssessment courts, after sensationally losing their high-profile libel case

Wayne is a tough act to follow but Kai appears to be making good inroads at youth level.

His dad is a five-time Premier League champion, United’s all-time top scorer with 253 goals, and even won the Champions League in 2008.

It comes as Coleen signed a £10 million fly-on-the-wall reality show deal with streaming giant Disney+ after a huge bidding war against Amazon.

After months of back and forth between the rival broadcasters, Mail on Sunday revealed that Disney+ won the race with the mᴀssive fee, and cameras will go inside the Rooneys’ £20 million super-mansion in Cheshire.

The ‘at-home-with’ format is expected to see former England footballer Wayne appear alongside his wife and their four sons: Kai, Kit, 11, Klay, eight, and Cᴀss, six.

Sources close to the project say that Coleen will be paid £5 million with the remainder going to production company Lorton Entertainment, which made her previous show, Coleen Rooney: The Real Wagatha Story.

One insider said: ‘It has taken months of bidding against one another. The money has gone up and up and has got to £10 million, which is way higher than was first imagined, but Coleen is very much in demand.

‘Both streamers were aware of the viewing public’s appeтιтe for the inside track on footballers’ home lives.

‘The Beckhams documentary was the most-watched show on Netflix in the UK last year, and has racked up more than 200 million hours of viewing time globally.

‘Coleen is loved by the British public, especially since she played a blinder on I’m A Celeb. It wasn’t surprising that Disney and Amazon wanted it and went head to head.

‘It will make for compulsive viewing. It won’t just feature Coleen but Wayne and their children, too.

‘It might be expensive, but the view is that it will be worth every penny.’

Coleen’s success stands in stark contrast to a similar project involving her arch foe, fellow WAG Rebekah Vardy.

Coleen defeated Rebekah, wife of Leicester striker Jamie Vardy, in her ‘Wagatha Christie’ libel trial in 2022, leaving Mrs Vardy with a £3 million legal bill.

The Mail on Sunday can reveal Rebekah has been quietly filming a pilot for a reality show with Freeview channel, W.

However, industry sources say TV executives ‘were not exactly enthralled’ by the results.

One source said: ‘Rebekah saw an opportunity to get herself on the television with a reality-type show, so it was decided she would try it out with a pilot.

‘She hasn’t been told no yet, but it didn’t go down well so there isn’t a great deal of optimism. There is some poetic justice after the aggravation Rebekah caused Coleen with the Wagatha Christie fall out.

‘Once again, Coleen has come out on top.’

It comes as Coleen ran up a legal bill of more than £1.8 million while successfully defending herself against Rebekah’s High Court claim in 2022.

The 'at-home-with' show format is expected to follow Coleen and former England footballer Wayne Rooney and their four sons: Kai, 14, Kit, 11, Klay, eight, and Cᴀss, six (pictured together on Christmas)

After losing their High Court showdown, Rebekah was ordered to pay 90 per cent of Coleen’s legal costs.

In written submissions to a specialist costs court hearing, Rebekah’s barrister, Juliet Wells, said Coleen’s total legal bill of £1,833,906.89 ‘has now been settled at £1,190,000, being [approximately] £1,125,000 plus interest of [approximately] £65,000’.

The court heard that while Coleen was also asking for a further £315,000 in ‘ᴀssessment costs’, Costs Judge Mark Whalan ordered Rebekah to pay £212,266.20 of Coleen’s ᴀssessment costs, inclusive of VAT but before interest, on top of the £1.19 million settlement.

Coleen must also pay Rebekah a total of £135,097.50 in costs under the terms of court orders from 2024, which will be set off against what Rebekah must pay.

While Mrs Wells previously called for the ‘grossly disproportionate’ ᴀssessment costs to be capped at ‘no more than £100,000’, Judge Whalan said the amount awarded was ‘reasonable and proportionate’.

He added that while there had been ‘extraordinary expenditure of costs’ on both sides, he was ‘generally happy’ that the outcome was ‘commercially satisfactory conclusion’ for the pair.

‘I do mean it when I say that I hope that this is the end of a long and unhappy road,’ he added.

Rebekah’s lawyer previously argued Coleen’s team had used a ‘kitchen sink’ approach when calculating the total and included ‘over £120,000 of costs to which Coleen has no enтιтlement’.

It was also claimed the bill included costs for one of the WAG’s team to stay at Nobu – a five-star luxury H๏τel – and ‘substantial dinner and drinks charges as well as mini bar charges’.

The lawyer said Coleen’s £1,833,906.89 legal bill was over three times her ‘agreed costs budget of £540,779.07’.

But Coleen’s lawyer, Robin Dunne, had argued it was ‘frankly outrageous’ to accuse them of dishonesty.

Rebekah unsuccessfully sued the I’m A Celeb star in the High Court in 2022 after she was publicly accused of leaking stories about her to the press.

The catalyst for the famous Wagatha Christie case was a dramatic open letter written by Coleen and posted on social media in October 2019, in which she revealed she had turned detective to figure out who had been leaking the stories to the press.

Coleen publicly claimed Rebekah’s account was the source behind three newspaper stories featuring fake details she had posted on her private Instagram profile – her travelling to Mexico for a ‘gender selection’ procedure, her planning to return to TV and the basement flooding at her home.

Penning that she had a ‘suspicion’ of who it could be, Coleen told her millions of followers that ‘to try and prove this’ she ‘came up with an idea’.

‘I blocked everyone from viewing my Instagram stories except ONE account,’ she wrote.

For the next five months, she uploaded ‘a series of false stories’ to see if ‘they made their way’ into the press.

‘And you know what, they did!’ she penned ‘The story about gender selection in Mexico, the story about returning to TV and then the latest story about the basement flooding in my new house.’

She continued to build suspense, writing: ‘It’s been tough keeping it to myself and not making any comment at all, especially when the stories have been leaked, however I had to. Now I know for certain which account/individual it’s come from.

‘I have saved and screensH๏τted all the original stories which clearly show just one person had viewed them.’

And then, she delivered her final iconic line: ‘It’s………. Rebekah Vardy’s account.’
