Maya Jama has become the latest British presenter to defect from ITV to Netflix.
The Love Island presenter, 30, joins the likes of Holly Willoughby and Emma Willis, who both host shows on the streaming giant.
Maya confirmed for the first time she is working with the US platform by sharing a picture of a Netflix script with the word ‘cast’ emblazoned on it on her Instagram.
She previously hinted she might have been in meetings with the streamer by posting a Netflix branded cup to social media, but it was unclear where she was at the time.
The BBC Three’s Glow Up presenter is due to host the upcoming Love Island series this summer but it is unknown how long she will stay in the coveted role.

Emma, 49, once hosted the likes of BBC’s Big Brother and ITV’s The Voice before moving to Netflix to present the reality show, The Circle, and a British version of Love Is Blind alongside her husband, Matt Willis.
Britain’s Got Talent judge, Amanda Holden, made her Netflix debut last month when she hosted Cheated: Unfinished Business alongside Paul C Brunson – a show following couples whose relationships had ended due to cheating.
Maya has presented Love Island since 2023, when she took over from Laura Whitmore, after finding fame on ITV’s obscure show, Don’t Hate the Playaz.
The former girlfriend of rapper Stormzy has since gone from strength to strength career-wise and has gone from brand deals with fast fashion brand, Pretty Little Thing, to gracing the cover of Vogue and partnering with Dolce and Gabbana.
It was only a matter of time before she was snapped up by Netflix, and on turning 30, the former radio host said: ‘I feel like I need to set new goals because I have been so fortunate that all my childhood goals have been achieved now before I am 30.’
The star – who was recently announced as a new judge on The Masked Singer – confirmed she does want to retire and have children one day, but it has to be with the ‘right person’.
While Holly (L) hosted the reality Bear Hunt on Netflix with Bear Grylls , Amanda (R) has also signed a lucrative deal with the streaming giant to front a brand-new series.

Maya is currently dating the Man City player, Ruben Dias, and her move to Netflix comes after they were first spotted together last month pack n the PDA at KSI’s Baller League event on Monday.
She shared: ‘I also want a family because of the way I was raised and it being all over the place, I’m very conscious that if I’m going to start a family I want it to be with the right person.
‘I want it to be one that lasts forever. But yeah, I do imagine myself with kids one day.’
