Miley Cyrus’ fans were shocked to learn on Wednesday that her mother Tish Cyrus has reportedly unfollowed her.

The 32-year-old hitmaker — who had an awkward run-in with an ex-boyfriend at the Met Gala this week — no longer showed up under a list of accounts the 57-year-old momager and podcaster was following on Instagram, according to multiple social media posts featuring apparent screensH๏τs showing Miley’s account missing.

Although neither Miley nor Tish have so far mentioned the alleged unfollowing, fans worried that the singer’s mother may have begun feuding with her over Miley’s father, Tish’s ex-husband Billy Ray Cyrus.

DailyMail.com has contacted representatives for Miley and Tish to request comment.

Fans singled out one suspiciously timed Instagram post from Billy Ray, in which he shared an old video showing Miley from behind as she sings and plays the piano. 

The camera pans to the right to reveal that her father is duetting with her on acoustic guitar.

‘Can’t wait to see this young lady. Crazy how time flies,’ he captioned the post.

Some fans took the post as a sign that Miley and Billy Ray were going to be meeting up soon, though it may just have been her father expressing a desire to reunite in the future.

But Tish has been vocal about the ‘hard times’ she experienced while married to Billy Ray, and the two have managed to stir up drama even after their split.

She was also reportedly ‘feuding’ with her younger daughter Noah Cyrus until their recent reunion, so Tish may not be above distancing herself from her offspring.

TMZ noted that Miley’s latest Instagram post — shared around the same time that her father posted them video of them playing together — was liked by his new girlfriend, Elizabeth Hurley.

The 59-year-old British actress has reportedly been on a liking storm across many of the Wrecking Ball singer’s latest Instagram posts.

Despite the reports that Tish had unfollowed Miley, and screensH๏τs apparently showing that to be the case, the situation seems to have changed as of Wednesday evening.

ScreensH๏τs of Tish’s following list now indicate that she is following Miley again, raising the possibility that she may have re-followed her daughter after the unfollowing went public.

But a screensH๏τ taken by DailyMail.com on Wednesday evening indicates that Tish is now filing Miley, suggesting she either re-followed her or was the victim of a technical glitch

As she hasn’t confirmed the alleged unfollowing, it’s unclear if that was an intentional move or perhaps a mistake or a technical glitch.

Until recently, Tish was estranged from another one of her daughters, Noah Cyrus.

Last month, she opened up about how she and Noah managed to strengthen their seemingly broken relationship after more than a year of reported feuding.

The turnaround follows another shakeup in the Cyrus family, after estranged dad Billy Ray shocked fans by revealing that he is now dating Elizabeth Hurley.

The alleged estrangement was reportedly centered around Tish’s relationship and 2023 marriage to the actor Dominic Purcell.

Although there have been differing reports about whether anything was going on between Noah, 25, and Dominic, 55, prior to his relationship with her mother, multiple sources claimed that Dominic had previously had a casual relationship with Noah, who accused her mother of ‘stealing’ the Prison Break star.

But on an April episode of Tish and Brandi Cyrus’ podcast Sorry We’re Cyrus — which featured a surprising guest appearance from Noah — the matriarch revealed how they managed to fix up their relationship, without delving into their alleged feud.

According to Tish, just being physically closer to her daughter helped patch over their issues. 

Tish had previously been in a reported feud with her daughter Noah Cyrus (pictured in June 2024 in West Hollywood). But last month, the momager opened up about how she and Noah got closer

The alleged estrangement was reportedly centered around Tish’s relationship and 2023 marriage to the actor Dominic Purcell (R), who allegedly had a previously casual relationship with Noah

‘Noah moved this year. That’s been so good for us,’ she explained, adding that they were ‘able to go on our walks and we found our new favorite ice cream truck.’

It didn’t hurt that Tish had some kind words for Noah’s fiancé, the German fashion designer Pinkus, which she revealed in June of 2023.

‘I love him so much and honestly… he is a man. He’s so respectful and driven and sweet. Honestly I think he is perfect,’ Noah’s mother gushed. ‘He is so awesome and I could not be happier that you are with him.’

People previously reported that they were ‘seeing each other’ and had ‘hooked up’ before he and Tish tied the knot.

It was alleged that Noah was ‘offended’ when her mother married the Australian star.

‘Noah and Dominic were seeing each other in a friends-with-benefits way, off and on. They stopped seeing each other and then Tish started something up,’ an insider told the publication.

‘Tish knew he had been seeing Noah,’ they added.

Even though Noah and Dominic had stopped seeing each other when his relationship with Tish started,’ Tish reportedly ‘never gave Noah the chance to talk about all of this before they got married.’

Us Weekly previously claimed that their fallout occurred after Tish began ‘pursuing’ Dominic, who was reportedly romantically involved with Noah for ‘about 8 to 9 months.’

Dominic and Noah, who have a 30 year age gap, were said to be ‘having issues.’

Sources told the publication that ‘Noah was distraught over Tish stealing Dominic from her,’ and she subsequently skipped her mother’s wedding to the Australian actor.

However, a family insider told Dailymail.com in 2024 that Noah had ‘fabricated details’ of a relationship with Dominic.

‘Noah never dated Dominic and they were not together,’ the insider said. ‘She is delusional to think otherwise and is trying to create a narrative that will paint her as a victim.’

Despite the disputed origins of the alleged feud, things got so bad by March of 2024 that Tish had allegedly decided her relationship with Noah was ‘beyond repair,’ and she reportedly was ‘not open’ to reconciling with her daughter. 

An insider told Us Weekly that Miley was also devastated by the family split, as Noah was also unwilling to communicate with her.

While Noah brazenly skipped her mother’s wedding to Dominic, Miley opted to attend it and support Tish.

Earlier in April, fans were gobsmacked to see Noah filming a TikTok dance video with Tish after their alleged estrangement of more than a year

It’s unclear if dad Billy Ray Cyrus’ vicious comments about Noah’s sister Miley in audio obtained last year by DailyMail.com played a role in her reunion with Tish. He recently shocked fans by revealing he was dating the actress Elizabeth Hurley

The first hints of a possible thaw between Noah and her mother came in July, when they were spotted reuniting in public.

However, it appeared to be a largely functional meeting, as they were seen in pH๏τos obtained by DailyMail.com as they spent over two hours at a center offering financial management and law advice.

But the latest TikTok video of Tish and Noah dancing together signaled that they were not only willing to be in the same room with each other, but that again seemed to enjoy each other’s company.

In her caption, Noah lovingly referred to Tish as ‘mommy’ while joking that she’s now ‘replacing’ big sister Brandi Cyrus as her TikTok dance partner.

‘mommyyy [heart-hands emoji] guess who’s replacing brandi,’ the singer–songwriter wrote.

Their mother–daughter duo’s fans were overjoyed in the comments section to seem them back together again. 

It’s unclear if Billy Ray Cyrus’ estrangement from the rest of his family may have played a part in Tish and Noah’s reunion.
