Ben Affleck was spotted out in Los Angeles on Wednesday amid a new report suggesting he’s ready for romance again after his brief marriage to Jennifer Lopez came to a devastating end.

Ben — who recently revealed how Tom Brady gave him the ‘greatest day’ — was pictured strolling along a busy sidewalk on Wednesday while also joined by his son Samuel, 13, who was close behind.

The same day, a source claimed to In Touch that the 52-year-old Oscar winner is ‘dating again.’

They said that Ben is ‘not giving up on love,’ though his most recent romantic failure is reportedly still affecting him.

However, he’s reportedly ‘looking forward to meeting someone new,’ as the source claimed the Armageddon actor does best when he can count on ‘the stability of being in a relationship.’

Although there weren’t any hints about what kind of woman Affleck was interested in after marrying two high-profile actresses, a source told DailyMail.com earlier this month that his ‘secret crush’ for years has been Angelina Jolie.

‘Ben said that he always thought that she was very H๏τ and has admired how she has navigated her career,’ they said, adding that he thinks Angelina is ‘smart’ and ‘pretty cool’ for having ‘directed films’ in addition to acting in them, a feat he also lays claim to.

However, In Touch’s source said Affleck was ‘really trying to avoid’ another ‘high-profile romance’ after his issues with J.Lo were so widely publicized.

The source claimed that Ben has struggled to ‘meet the right type of woman’ who fits his exacting specifications, and dating apps aren’t particularly useful for him because of his A-list fame.

However, they said Ben has some qualities he’s set on, including a woman who is ‘independent’ and ‘strong in her convictions.’

He reportedly also values someone who is also sober, though it’s not a dealbreaker. However, they said it is essential for him that a potential partner understands that his sobriety is his highest priority. 

Another source claimed to the publication that Ben’s ex Lopez has been ‘having a blast’ filming her upcoming romantic comedy Office Romance with Ted Lᴀsso star Brett Goldstein, to the point that coworkers have allegedly noticed their ‘flirty behavior’ on set.

However, there’s no indication that she’s looking to get back into the dating game yet.

While out in LA with his son, the actor rocked a casual yet stylish layered look with pair of charcoal pinstripe trousers with a white dress shirt and an oatmeal-colored cardigan on top.

Affleck completed the outfit by donning an off-white cashmere jacket with patch pockets, and he slipped into a pair of taupe nubuck derby shoes.

The star has been embroiled in claims that both he and Lopez are clashing over their Beverly Hills estate which has been sitting on the market for nearly one year. 

Earlier last week, it was reported that the former couple have differing opinions on what steps need to be taken to sell the lavish abode. 

The Accountant 2 actor listed the sprawling estate last year in July, and has since failed to catch a buyer.

Ben and Jennifer — whose divorce was officially settled a few months earlier in January — purchased the property in cash for $60.8 million in May 2023.

However, sources told TMZ that Affleck is eager to lower the price of the house while Lopez is not ready to do so, despite there not being much interest in the abode.

Some realtors have also informed the outlet that the $68M asking price is too high and needs to be dropped by at least 15% if the pair want to offload their marital home.

An agent told the publication that the two stars had overpaid for the estate, which consists of 12 bedrooms and 24 bathrooms.

But buyers who do have the finances to purchase a home around that price range are currently searching for deals in the market.

Insurance costs are also on the rise, and insiders told the outlet that insurance for the Beverly Hills mansion is estimated to be around $500,000 annually.

In January, ᴅᴇᴀᴅly wildfires spread throughout Southern California, which has also resulted in fire insurance costs skyrocketing.

A separate insider also informed Us Weekly that ‘Jennifer thinks they can get more money for the home, so she wants to keep the price as is. But the real estate market is not there and it’s not selling. 

‘Ben wants to get rid of it because their divorce is over and he wants to cut all ties and have it be done. He just wants it over and to sell it. He wants to reduce the price.’

At the time when the two stars listed the home on the market, a source also informed the outlet: ‘They are in a rush to sell it.

In August of last year — one month after the house was put on the market — Lopez and Affleck struggled to find a buyer, despite their extensive renovations.

The following month, the stars faced a devastating blow after they accepted an offer on the estate.

TMZ reported at the time that Ben and Jennifer received a $64 million offer from a New Jersey couple. However, they ‘pulled out of escrow’ due to a death in the family.

When Lopez and Affleck finalized their divorce, they also reached an agreement on the estate, though the terms have remained private. 

And over the past weekend, Lopez jumped to Instagram and accidentally revealed that she is still residing at the mansion.

Their differing outlooks on the sell of the estate comes not long after the Good Will Hunting actor seemingly dropped a hint about why his relationship with the performer came to an end.

Ben and Jennifer tied the knot in 2022, but in August of 2024, Lopez filed for divorce on their second wedding anniversary.

During an appearance on MSNBC’s Morning Joe last week, he talked about his upcoming film The Accountant 2.

While discussing his character of Christian in the movie, Affleck stated: ‘The people you love the most drive you the most crazy. And the humor is rooted in that relationship.’

And earlier this month, Ben gave a shocking update on his relationship with Lopez after finalizing their divorce four months earlier.
