An EastEnders legend will be returning to Albert Square in days – and they will be sending shockwaves through their family with life-changing news.
Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins) will be back in Walford after two months away, following on from getting brutally hit over the head on Christmas Day.
Then in February it was revealed that it was in fact Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth) who was the one who clobbered her outside the Queen Vic.
Cindy’s return is going to cause a lot of drama and will disrupt Lauren Branning (Jacqueline Jossa) and son Peter Beale’s (Thomas Law) engagement party at Harry’s Barn.
Her relationship with her daughter-in-law Lauren has been pretty non existent over the last few months.
And Cindy’s shock return leaves Lauren – who is pregnant – fuming.

And a fed up Lauren tells Peter that he has to pick between her or Cindy.
Cindy’s family don’t want anything to do with her, so she decides to drop a bombshell and tell them who hit her over the head.
Later on in the episode, Cindy heads over to Peter and Lauren’s house to talk and finds Lauren with her waters broken.
As viewers will know, she left Walford in February and pretended that she was never going to come back.
However she has actually been staying with her friend Gita and wants to take revenge on her family.
It comes after it was revealed that Michelle was taking a huge break from the soap after bagging a lead role in a brand new show.
Michelle Collins, 62, first appeared on the soap in 1988, but left in 1900 after her character supposedly got killed off during childbirth.

However in 2023 she made a shock return and has been part of some gripping storylines, including the mystery of who hit her over the head on Christmas Day last year.
But now Michelle is going to step away from the Square for her debut at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival as part of comedy Motorhome Marilyn.
A source told The Sun: ‘She will be off screens for a few weeks but BBC bosses know it’s important to let their biggest stars do other projects so they remain on the show long-term.
‘Bosses will have big plans for Cindy when she does return to Albert Square.’
Michelle will be starring in the show at the Doonstairs, Gilded Balloon Patter House in the summer.
Fans will be able to watch her between July 30 and August 25.
