‘hi, i’m pk and i’m an alcoholic and a heroin addict,’ she wrote. ‘today marks 5 years clean & sober from all drugs and alcohol.
‘to say that i’m thankful would be a poor euphemism. graтιтude hardly scratches the surface. it’s because i’m sober that i get to smile today.
‘i get to make music. i get to experience the joy of loving my dogs and cat. i get to feel heartbreak in all it’s glory. i get to grieve. i get to laugh.

It appears her journey from addiction to a clean and sober lifestyle will be among the personal topics she explores in the lyrics for the new album.
In fact, she shared how her words may be ‘hard for some people to hear’ once the new songs are eventually released.
‘I mean, is some of it going to be hard for some people to hear? For sure, yeah, because what I’m talking about is a lot of touchy things,’ she explained during an interview on Live From Bed podcast with host Jade Iovine in 2024. ‘Some people might have a hard time.’

Paris released her first solo studio album, Wilted, back in November 2020, and has dropped some singles following her second EP The Lost in February 2022.
Most recently, she released the 2023 single Bandaid, which made use of the soft-hard dynamic between the verses and chorus, that’s been a stylized songwriting tool with some of the alternative rock bands of yesteryear like Nirvana.
Her previous single Just You, which dropped in 2022, is also another catchy sing-along, mid-tempo rock romper.
The Beverly Hills native began her musical career by teaming up with Gabriel Glenn to form The Soundflowers in 2018.
With a stripped down acoustic sound, including Paris on vocals and a ukulele and Glenn on guitar and vocals, the duo dropped their self-тιтled EP in June 2020.
