Olly Murs has confirmed the rescheduled dates for his Hull and Brighton gigs after being forced to cancel them at the last minute. 

The English singer, 40, had to pull the shows due to a stomach bug that had ‘ripped through’ his band and crew. 

Taking to Instagram on Tuesday, he shared the exciting news that both shows have now been rescheduled after fans were left gutted by the cancellations.

Alongside a poster of the news, he penned: ‘I’m really pleased to announce the rescheduled dates for Hull and Brighton plus am excited to confirm @officalblue will be joining me on both shows as planned. So all tickets remain valid. 

‘If for any reason you cannot make the new dates refunds are available from the point of purchase. Look forward to seeing you all soon at these shows.’

The poster confirmed the Hull show will now take place on May 20 at Connex Live while he will then travel to Brighton to perform at Brighton Centre on  May 27.

Olly – who is expecting his second child with his wife Amelia – apologised for letting fans down in a lengthy message when he originally cancelled the shows last week.

He wrote in a lengthy Instagram post: ‘I hate that I have to write this & really so sorry to let you guys down, but unfortunately, we are having to reschedule our next two shows in Brighton & Hull.

‘The gastroenteritis bug I had last night is currently ripping through our band and crew, which makes it impossible to put on a show for you.

‘We’ll be taking a break for 48 hours to ensure everyone can be fit and healthy for the remainder of the tour.

‘Thank you for understanding and we’re working hard to bring you news of our rescheduled dates as soon as we can. Love Olly x.’

Elsewhere, Olly recently shared the very heartwarming news that he is expecting his second child.

Olly and wife Amelia – who welcomed their first daughter, Madison, 11 months ago in May – took to Instagram last week to confirm they will soon be welcoming another baby.

During his and Mark Wright’s Heart radio show on Saturday, Olly spoke for the first time about becoming a dad again, admitting he didn’t ‘expect it to happen this quick’.

As his pal Mark congratulated him on the news, he asked the star how ‘buzzing’ he was.

Olly replied: ‘Mate, it’s been… you know when you have those weeks where you can’t tell anyone? It’s been really exciting news for us both.

‘A shock, we didn’t expect it to happen this quick, but just yeah, amazing. We just want to grow our little family.’

‘You should be so proud of yourselves. You’re the best mum and dad ever to Maddie, and the fact you’re doing it again, giving her a little sibling, is just sensational,’ Mark gushed. ‘I love you mate, and I love the whole family, and I’m just buzzing for you.’

‘So I’m going to be at the start soon,’ Olly laughed.

‘You’re going to be back where I was weeks ago, and now I can make fun of you having sleepless nights,’ Mark joked.

In an adorable black and white video shared by Olly, the family of three were seen walking through the park with Madison sat on her father’s shoulders.

She wore a denim jacket embossed with the words ‘BIG SIS’, while Amelia held a reel of snaps of the baby scan.

They penned in a caption: ‘We’re so egg-cited to share this..… Another Baby Murs on the way.’

Olly and his bodybuilder partner, 32, tied the knot in July 2023 and announced the arrival of their baby girl on April 17.

Just 48 hours after Amelia had given birth, the singer was back on tour supporting Take That.

The singer told the crowd at the time how he had been juggling nappies and late nights, but felt guilty he had been working away from home.

He said: ‘It’s been the most craziest time. Cos obviously on one hand I’ve got this beautiful baby girl, my wife is at home looking after her with the nappies, and the sleepless nights.

‘And I’m on tour with Take That. I feel guilty!’
