Georgia Toffolo’s husband James Watt completed an emotional London Marathon on Sunday after flouting doctors’ advice to take part in the charity race – but admitted he suffered a horrific injury during the event.

The BrewDog millionaire, 42, posted a picture of his golden participation medal to Instagram having ignored excruciating pain, following bone damage and a torn ligament, to cross the finish line.

His Made In Chelsea star wife, 30, watched on proudly from the sidelines and could be seen pᴀssing the entrepreneur bottles of water and sharing a kiss with her husband.

James was running the marathon in aid of Pancreatic Cancer UK after his father Jim died from the illness last year, and at one point the co-founder of the drinks company showed he had written ‘DAD’ on his hand in black marker for motivation.

He also had the message ‘FOR DAD [love heart] LONDON 2025’ on the back of his t-shirt during the event, paying tribute to his parent. 

And in a gruesome video, the businessman revealed his nipples had started bleeding early on in the race but he had only noticed 20 minutes after he completed it when Georgia pointed them out.

He said: ‘So funniest thing about today is…’ to which Georgia replied, ‘not that many funny things.’ 

‘So we did it,’ he added. ‘Not sure how, but we did it… on mile seven my nipples started bleeding and I didn’t even notice until I finished.

‘I didn’t even notice until Georgia pointed it out at the end and I’m sort of scared to take the t-shirt off and my shoes off.

‘But we did it. We got there.’ 

He then reposted an earlier pH๏τo he had uploaded of him posing with his medal, this time drawing attention to the blood on his shirt from his bleeding nipples.

James captioned it: ‘The nipples [crying with laughter emoji]. I honestly had no idea until @georgiatoffolo pointed it out 20 mins after I finished. 

‘Other things were hurting more [crying with laughter emoji].’

In a later clip, he added: ‘Well done to everyone who ran it today. And it’s quite an emotional thing with so many people who joined in for such important causes and such important things.

‘I mean it was tough physically and tough emotionally so just mᴀssively well done to everyone who ran and especially those who were running for charity.’

Ahead of the race, Georgia admitted her husband was ‘completely mad’ for running the marathon after ‘going against doctors’ advice’ amid his painful injury.  

Georgia revealed James had turned their house into an ‘elite sports rehab centre’ to get him back on his feet ready for the marathon.

But despite his injury, Georgia announced James is heading to the start line and running the gruelling 26.2 miles.

She wrote on Instagram: ‘He is completely mad but he is giving it a go. After not being able to run for a month, is somehow heading to the start line of the London Marathon.

‘You are mental but maybe that is why I married you. Good luck my love. We will all be cheering you on.’

On Saturday, she wrote: ‘We’ve got some big news… that’s a scan you’re looking at But no, I’m not pregnant. It’s actually MUCH worse ha.

‘@brewdogjames has been told he can’t run the marathon because he’s got bone damage and torn ligaments (cue dramatic music lol).

‘But would that stop the most compeтιтive man I know? Absolutely not.

‘He’s basically turned our house into an elite sports rehab centre. He’s tried the hyperbaric chamber, had countless scans, foot injections, sauna sessions, and is now permanently attached to a pair of compression boots.

‘And as for me? Wife duties have officially begun.

‘As you know, I love a bit of biohacking, so I’ve taken the natural route… grounding in the back garden, ice packs on rotation, yoga classes (the only time I’ve managed to get James on the mat, of course it took an injury), snacks delivered like clockwork, and yes, even singing to him in the hyperbaric chamber.

‘You name it, we’ve probably tried it. But with less than 24 hours until the marathon, we’re running out of time and ideas.

‘Drop any last minute miracle cures below, we’re desperate. And yes, we’re willing to try anything.’

James’s father Jim died in August after being diagnosed with stage four pancreatic cancer just weeks prior. 

The multi-millionaire Scot had said the news hit his family ‘like a sledgehammer’ as his lobster fisherman father had been fit and healthy all his days.

In a harrowing post on Instagram, James said he and Georgia had been at his father’s hospital bedside for the last 10 days.

He told followers on the social media site: ‘Up until three weeks ago he was working full time on his lobster fishing boat, hauling 300 lobster pots every single day. 

‘I still can’t quite wrap my head around the fact that he went from exceptionally strong, fit and healthy to facing such an arduous health challenge in such a short space of time.’

He added: ‘I have always been extremely close with my father. From the tender age of six, I would spend all my school holidays stowed away in his fishing boat and we have pretty much been joined at the hip ever since I entered the world.’

Georgia and James got engaged in October after the millionaire proposed with an exquisite eight carat triple-diamond studded band estimated to be worth £200,000 during a romantic getaway in Greece for Georgia’s 30th birthday.

And after the BrewDog founder previously insisted that the pair would be tying the knot this year, it appears that the couple were true to their word – though guests only had 48 hours notice to attend.

James wrote on his Instagram: ‘Georgia and I got married today.

‘Some key details: 1st March 2025 57.6722° N, 2.3372° W (Gardenstown, Northeast Scotland) 6°C, 17-knot winds (because Scottish weather never disappoints) Spaniel ring bearer.

‘Guests – whoever could get there with 24 hours notice, Scottish honeymoon incoming. Married in the same church my grandparents were married in.’

The drinks tycoon has previously opened up about his strained relationship with his mother – who he said had created a ‘voice’ in his head growing up – leading to the pair not contacting one another for 20 years.

He told The Diary Of A CEO’s Steven Bartlett about an instance where she crushed his dreams of becoming a marine biologist at just nine-years-old despite sharks being his favourite animal.

James said: ‘My favourite hobby is diving with sharks, I’m happiest when I’m underwater with sharks.’

But his mother sat him down one evening and went through the authors in one of his favourite shark books – pointing out that all the writers had PhDs.

He added: ‘She went through the four authors in the shark book. She said “It’s just not something you’re going to be able to do, so you’ve got to stop telling people that you want to be a marine biologist.”‘
