The singer shared an emotional Instagram post on Sunday morning, watching on TV as her boyfriend Zion Foster lined up with thousands of other runners at the start line.

The Little Mix star, 34, has been in hospital since late March after being diagnosed with twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome (TTTS) – a rare condition that can put one or both babies at risk.

Earlier this month, she had to undergo an emergency procedure due to complications and has been advised to remain in hospital until she reaches a certain number of weeks in her pregnancy, as there are concerns she could go into early labour.

Jesy gushed that Zion is running Sunday’s Marathon ‘for our babies’ and the raise funds for the Twins Trust charity which supports parents of multiples as well as improving maternity care and research.

Sharing a pH๏τo from her hospital bed as she watched the BBC coverage of the Marathon, Jesy admitted she was feeling emotional.

‘I feel so emotional this morning knowing my baby is running the marathon for our babies and for @twinstrust. @zionfoster my heart feels so proud of you, you got this my angel’.

On Friday Zion and Jesy shared a video as he proudly showed off his Marathon shirt and asked fans for ‘a final donations push’.

Jesy looked teary as she told her boyfriend she had ‘no doubt’ he would complete the 26 mile course and reminded him ‘you’re doing this for these little babies and all the families that are going through it and all the people that have gone through all the stuff we’ve been through and worse.’

Speaking last week in his first interview since their pregnancy ordeal, Zion told of the couple’s hopes for the twins to be OK, before praising his babies for their strength amid their tough battle for life.

He told The Mirror: ‘They’re giving us so much hope they’re going to come out healthy. Jesy and the twins have come through so much. There were so many times in this pregnancy we didn’t think we’d get to where we are now.’

Zion added that he and Jesy feel like they ‘already know’ the tots just because of how much they’ve already overcome.

He added that their ‘strength has been unmatched’, before calling the babies ‘strong’ and ‘brave’ and declaring that he’s running the marathon for them as they’re the ‘most important thing.’

Meanwhile, Zion reflected on the most difficult time he and Jesy faced amid the pregnancy as he shared his wish that the children will continue to grow and be born healthy.

He remarked: ‘The hardest moment was definitely the operation. But now that we’ve overcome that, every day is just a day better. A day more of them growing, which just makes us happy. We just want them to keep growing, growing, growing so they can come out as healthy as possible.’

The Boyz hitmaker is seven months along into her pregnancy so far, with medics ideally wanting her to reach at least 32 weeks before the babies are born.

And Zion noted that he and Jesy are just hoping that the twins stay inside for as long as possible as the singer is currently still ‘premature’.

He said: ‘I do think we’ve come out of the storm a little bit. I mean, look, the truth is she’s still premature. So the reality is there is still that sense we need them to keep staying in. But from where we’ve come, we just feel so grateful. We just keep ticking off day by day and hopefully just let them go as long as they can.’

He went on to share that the couple have grown closer than ever amid their shared ordeal, with their support for each other cementing their belief that they’re ‘literally made for each other.’

Jesy and her partner Zion revealed to fans in a video that she’d been diagnosed with TTTS in March.

WHAT IS TWIN-TWIN TRANSFUSION SYNDROME?

Twin-twin transfusion syndrome is a rare but serious condition that can occur in identical pregnancies when twins share a placenta.

Abnormal blood vessel connections form in the placenta and prevent blood from flowing evenly between the babies.

One twin then becomes dehydrated, which affects its growth.

The other develops high blood pressure and produces too much urine.

This leads to an enlarged bladder and excessive amounts of amniotic fluid, which can put a strain on the twin’s heart, leading to heart failure.

Without treatment, TTTS can be fatal for both twins.

The condition occurs in about around 15 per cent of identical twins who share a placenta, according to the charity Twins Trust.

Around 300 twins die from the condition every year in the UK, while 6,000 babies are affected annually in the US.

Draining excess amniotic fluid can help to improve blood flow.

If this is not enough, laser surgery is used to seal shut abnormal blood vessels and permanently disconnect them.

The surgeon then drains excess fluid.

Even when treated successfully, most TTTS babies are born premature.

However, the majority go on to have long, healthy lives.
