Gordon Ramsay has revealed the very annoying kitchen habit that leaves his wife Tana furious.

The renowned chef, 58, said Tana, 50, scolds him for cooking their six-year-old son Oscar a ‘posh’ bangers’ and mash – which he naturally ends up turning into a Michelin-star meal.

The couple are parents to Megan, 26, twins Holly and Jack, 25, Tilly, 23, Oscar and Jesse James, 17 months. 

Speaking on The Savoy Originals’ podcast, he said: ‘I will do sausage and mash with baked beans and make it look like a three-star Michelin sausage, mash and baked beans.

‘And I’ll put the beans on one at a time, and I’ll finish them, making mashed potatoes like [French chef] Robuchon did, with 70 per cent ʙuттer.

‘And then Tana will kick me up the a*** and say, ‘What are you doing? Our son is five years of age and you’re f****** around with these sausages. Stop it.’

He has a total of 88 restaurants worldwide and currently holds 8 Michelin stars. He has been awarded 17 stars overall.

While some would think Gordon would constantly be dining at his enterprise, he in fact finds them too fancy and ‘not his style’.

He said: ‘There’s a very fine line, running it or indulging in it.

‘I’ve only had dinner at Restaurant Gordon Ramsay in 25 years twice.

‘Once was for Megan’s birthday, and the second time was with Bradley Cooper when we were together for the film Burnt. 

‘It’s not my style. It’s too posh for me. It sounds weird, right? You built the f*****g place, and it’s like, too posh for you. I can’t sit there with that level of attention.

‘It’s bloody intimidating and it’s a very special moment for the guests, not for me, because I’m a giver — I’m not a receiver.’
