Little House on the Prairie star Melissa Gilbert posed up with her rarely-seen husband as she marked their 12 year anniversary this week.
The Laura Ingalls Wilder actress, 60, looked smitten as she embraced actor-director Tim Busfield, 67, and reflected on ’12 perfect years.’
She wrote: ’12 years of true partnership, love, laughter, compᴀssion, commitment, pᴀssion, laughter, cooking, kids, grandchildren, chickens, dogs, creating homes, films, plays, television. 12 years of writing together, traveling, cuddling, delicious meals, romantic getaways, spooning, reflecting, meditating, praying.
’12 years of baseball, yoga, dance class. 12 years of adventure, comfort, care and synergy.
’12 years married. 12 perfect years with my favorite person, who has my favorite face and my favorite soul. How lucky I am. I love you @timbusfield . Happy anniversary.’
The pair met around three decades ago and crossed paths numerous times on TV show and movie sets. By fate, they ran into each other in 2012 at a bar and started their romance.

The destined couple tied the knot in Santa Barbara in April of 2013.
The decorated actor and director often frequented the bar that his now-wife coincidentally was sitting alone in.
The When We Last Spoke actress had plans to go out to another bar with her gay best friend, but they ended up going to a different place when it was closed.
At that bar where they met, Gilbert was waiting for her GBF hairstylist Daniel Robb.
Both Gilbert and Busfield had just gone through second divorces with their respective former partners and had no intentions of dating again that early.
The Back to the Prairie: A Home Remade, A Life Discovered author didn’t even notice when her friend showed up. She was engrossed in talking to the Thirtysomething actor all night.
After getting married, Gilbert and Busfield moved to Howell, Michigan into a charming, restored Victorian-era home in August 2013.
Today, the couple have quit Hollywood and resides in a picturesque 14-acre Catskill Mountain cottage in New York.

Gilbert had previously been married to Bo Brinkman from 1988 to 1994 and Bruce Boxleitner from 1995 to 2011.

Gilbert has two sons from her former marriages, Dakota Brinkman, 35, and Michael Boxleitner, 29.
Busfield’s was previously married to Radha Delamarter from 1981 to 1986 and Jenny Merwin 1988 to 2007.
He has three children — Samuel and Daisy with his former ex-wife Delamarter and Wilson whom he shares with the latter, his ex-wife Merwin.
