Pregnant former Made In Chelsea star Nicola Hughes has revealed that she was rushed to hospital ahead of welcoming her second child.

The ex reality star, 35, announced she was expecting another baby with her husband Charlie Tupper in February, two years after having daughter Penelope.

But on Wednesday she took to Instagram to share snaps from A&E amid a concern with her placenta.

Share a selfie from her hospital bed she told how she had travelled to London from their family home in Spain but ended up struggling with her health.

She said in her caption: ‘Little did I know our trip to London would be cut short by me getting admitted to hospital.’

Nicola added: ‘I haven’t spoken much about my pregnancy on here but it’s been a very different experience to my last.

‘I was admitted as there was a concern my plancenta [sic] was detaching, and within minutes of being admitted I was told there’s a chance I will be in theatre by the end of the day.

‘The fear of not having a home in the UK and my first born being in Spain was something I never want to experience ever again.

‘Safe to say I won’t be taking anymore travel risks.’

Her close pal Lottie Moss commented underneath saying: ‘Omg angel.’

‘So glad all is okay,’ her former MIC co-star Tiffany Watson added.

Nicola confirmed she is expecting her second child with her husband Charlie in February.

She took to Instagram to share the exciting news with her 201,000 followers by posting a sweet video.

In the footage, Nicola debuted her blossoming baby bump as she cradled her stomach while lying on her bed in a yellow underwear set and a white shirt.

She appeared overjoyed as she held her ultrasound scans in her hand before Charlie sweetly planted a kiss on her lips.

The couple got married in an idyllic Surrey ceremony at Botleys Mansion in August 2021 after five years together, with Nicola’s former co-stars Lucy and Tiffany Watson in attendance

The couple’s daughter Penelope, two, then climbed up on to the bed with them and they cuddled her close to end the adorable footage. 

‘Growing our little family,’ she sweetly captioned the video. 

Her famous friends were quick to flock to the comments section to share congratulatory messages with the happy couple.

Nicole Bᴀss wrote: ‘Beautiful congratulations,’ while Love Island’s Montana Brown gushed: ‘Congrats lovely.’

Nicola and Charlie welcomed their first child together – a daughter Penelope – in October 2022.

At the time, the Irish reality TV star took to Instagram to share a black-and-white pH๏τograph of them cradling their daughter’s hand to confirm the news. 

She wrote in a caption: ‘My heart. Our little Penelope made an early arrival.’

Posting the same sH๏τ, Charlie penned: ‘Made it, all thanks to your mumma. Our little Penelope.’

The couple got married in an idyllic Surrey ceremony at Botleys Mansion in August 2021 after five years together, with Nicola’s former co-stars Lucy and Tiffany Watson in attendance. 

Nicola admitted the wedding plans had to be rejigged due to Covid-19 restrictions at the time, with the ceremony being planned in just six weeks.

Charlie proposed with a dazzling diamond ring during a trip to Ibiza in September 2020. 

Nicola has previously praised her ‘very normal’ husband after being introduced by her Made In Chelsea co-star ex-boyfriend Alex Mytton, 31.

She said: ‘Charlie isn’t in the reality world. He’s a very normal guy. He has a recruitment company in the city. He’s a lovely guy.’ 

In his wedding speech, Charlie said: ‘The story of our beginning is somewhat hazy as we were heavily intoxicated, well I was anyway, obviously.

‘But through the haze, I distinctly remember Nicola coming up to me and started speaking with me, I had no idea what was going on, is this happening? Is she really chatting me up? I couldn’t believe it, I was so lucky to be in that situation.’ 

‘Despite how drunk I was after drinking half of my gin and tonic, I will never forget those piercing blue eyes looking at me and from that moment I already knew I’d started falling for you or falling on you, I can’t remember.’

Nicola rose to fame on E4’s Made in Chelsea in 2015, which she joined the cast as ex Alex’s then-girlfriend.

She left the show in 2016, after the relationship broke down after alleged acts of infidelity from Alex, who ended their romance via text.
