Sam Thompson is reportedly moving on from Zara McDermott, by growing closer with another stunning Love Island star, amid his ex-girlfriend’s blossoming romance with Louis Tomlinson.

The Made in Chelsea star, 32, and the TV presenter, 28, split four months ago after five years of dating, with Zara then falling for One Direction heartthrob Louis, 33.

But it has now been reported that Sam has also found someone new, after swapping flirty messages with former Islander Samie Elishi. 

Samie, 25, came third on the ITV2 dating show in 2023 – five years after Zara appeared on the series – and briefly returned for this year’s All Stars season.

A source told The Sun: ‘Sam found the split and its public fall-out very hard but Samie has put a smile back on his face. She is a stunning girl and he’s told a few pals about her. 

‘He seems excited. Obviously it’s early days, but clearly he has a thing for Love Islanders!’

MailOnline has contacted both Sam and Samie’s representatives for comment.

It comes just a day after Samie was forced to deny there was anything romantic going on between her and fellow Love Island star Lochan Nowacki.

The pair sparked speculation after Lochan welcomed Samie onto his YouTube cooking show and fans instantly spotted ‘great chemistry’ between them.

The flirty appearance saw the pair, while whipping up a chicken curry, giggle and even share a hug as fans branded them the ‘perfect couple’. 

And the video happened to come out just days before Lochan announced his split from Whitney Adebayo after two years of dating.

The fan favourite couple, who were runners-up on Love Island in 2023, took to their respective Instagram Stories on Friday night to reveal that they have called time on their romance.

Announcing news of their split Lochan penned: ‘Hey guys, unfortunately Whitney and I’s relationship has come to an end. Thank you for all the love and support that you’ve show us through our journey, we’re forever grateful.’

Meanwhile, Whitney took to her own Stories to share the same statement as she confirmed their separation, before also taking a savage swipe at her ex as she insinuated it was him who called time on their relationship and admitted ‘I am broken’.

However, Samie was quick to speak out on and squash the speculation, labelling the rumours ‘rubbish’ on her Snapchat

As a results, fans quickly took to social media to theorise that Lochan had moved on with Samie, writing: ‘Loved his episode! You two have great chemistry’

‘So much better suited’; ‘He likes her. So bubbly his energy is up. Whitney is just a placeholder’; ‘This is his real type BTW’.

However, Samie was quick to speak out on and squash the speculation, labelling the rumours ‘rubbish’ on her Snapchat.

She wrote: ‘Absolute rubbish. Literally going to dinner with my girl Whit tomorrow. Don’t believe everything you read people.’

Meanwhile, it isn’t the first reality star that Sam is said to have struck up a flirtation with, after MailOnline recently revealed he has ‘grown close’ to a stunning Netflix star.

The podcaster was spotted with Lucy Syed, 28, at new Chelsea nightclub The Rex Rooms last month and according to sources, they have spent time together on more than one occasion.

Pals close to Sam insisted he is not dating ʙικιɴι model Lucy, who starred on the latest series of Too H๏τ to Handle but claim they have enjoyed each other’s company.

A source told MailOnline the attraction between Sam, who recently signed up to celebrity dating app Raya, and Lucy was ‘instant’ and friends are happy the influencer was able to put a smile back on the TV star’s face.

A friend said: ‘Sam and Lucy were sharing direct messages over Instagram before they decided to meet up at a pub and then continue their night at The Rex Rooms.

‘They looked really close in the club, chatting and cuddling up together.

‘But their closeness continued after they spent the night partying together and the pair’s connection has certainly put a smile back on Sam’s face.

‘Sam is enjoying being single again and dipping his toe back into the dating pool.’

Sam’s return to the dating scene comes as Zara and Louis have been spending time with each other both in the UK and the States after making their relationship official.

The BBC documentary maker’s new romance was revealed after she and Louis were seen enjoying a dinner and overnight stay together at The Suffolk in Aldeburgh following reports of Zara’s new closeness with the star’s half-siblings. 

A stunned onlooker, who spotted the lovebirds, said the former One Direction singer was incredibly ‘affectionate’ with Zara and the pair looked totally ‘smitten’ with each other.

While this month saw the first pictures emerge of the pair sharing a kiss and walking together hand-in-hand in LA.

Their relationship already appears to be getting off to a strong start as the singer has reportedly introduced the stunner to his family after enjoying a handful of dates together.

A friend claimed that ‘wholesome and health-conscious’ Zara had left the family pleased Louis had found a girl who wasn’t into partying.

Her relationship with the famous singer was first detected by sleuth-like One Direction fans who noticed Louis had followed Zara on Instagram and liked a string of her pictures.

According to Zara’s friends, Louis has put ‘a smile back on her face’ following her split from Sam on New Year’s Day.
