Danny Dyer has landed himself in H๏τ water as he admitted to owning a weapon – and gifting one to his daughter’s husband-to-be Jarrod Bowen. 

The EastEnders star, 47, made the risky confession on an episode of his podcast with daughter Dani. 

Danny revealed he owns a ‘cosh’, a heavy, short stick made of metal or rubber, to protect himself in the event intruders try to break in.

Speaking on Live and Let Dyers, he said: ‘Shout out to you burglars out there because by the time this airs I’ll be back (from Dubai). And I’ve got a naughty dog called Debbie, I’m belled up to f***.’

‘Don’t try and sniff round my gaff when this is out, because I’ll be waiting for you with a cosh — my favourite weapon of choice when I’m in my house.’

His podcast co-host, and Love Island star daughter Dani, 28, went on to say that her dad had gifted one to her fiance Jarrod Bowen.

‘He has it next to him,’ she said. 

Danny added: ‘No, I’ve got another one. I did give one to Jarrod, a spring cosh. It was one of my early presents to him because he’s very protective of you.

‘So he’s got the one with a spring on it. My one’s pure metal. It’s almost like a police baton. It’s a good tool.’

Extendable batons are banned under the Offensive Weapons Act 2019 without legal authorisation, but it is unclear whether Danny’s would fall under that category.

A lawyer told The Sun that the confession was ‘not wise’ to admit, adding that if an intruder did break in – the home owner would be at risk of prosecution if they attacked them with a cosh. 

MailOnline has approached Danny Dyer’s representatives for comment. 

It comes after Danny admitted that he hasn’t slept with his wife Joanne Mas in six months as he revealed his plans for a lavish Dubai trip to try and get ‘a roll about’.

The actor and Joanne began dating in 1992 and share three children Love Island’s Dani, daughter Sunnie, 18, and son Arty, 11.

Their on-off relationship was marred with cheating allegations in the past, although they eventually got back together for good and married in 2016 after Joanne proposed a year before.

But Danny revealed earlier this week on his Live And Let Dyers podcast, which he hosts with daughter Dani, that he and Joanne have been through a dry patch and have struggled to find time for intimacy.

In a bizarre chat, Danny described how he got jealous when Joanne mᴀssaged their daughter Dani’s feet, when she returned home to stay for a night at their mansion in EsSєx. 

He said: ‘You were sitting on the settee and mummy was on some vibe and she started to mᴀssage your feet. She never goes near her husband’s feet, she’s not seen me winkle for six months.’ 

But then Danny revealed how he has a cunning plan to resurrect his love life.

It comes after Danny admitted that he hasn’t slept with his wife Joanne Mas in six months as he revealed his plans for a lavish Dubai trip to try and get ‘a roll about’ (Seen together in 2018) 

He said: ‘We’re going to Dubai to f*****ing live it up and that’s why I’ve planned a holiday for the very small chance that might get a roll about.’

The former EastEnders star also hinted that he wouldn’t rule out having a forth child. 

He said to Dani: ‘You’ll be lucky not to get another sibling, because mum’s due to have another one, every ten years I get her pregnant. 

‘But actually I don’t think my jook, shall we call it jook? Is what it was.’
