Taylor Swift fans were thrown into a frenzy of confusion and exhilaration by an upcoming raffle for a Kentucky Derby event.

This week, the 12th Unbridled Eve Derby Gala announced a string of items and experiences that will be available to be bid on at its silent auction.

One of the lots was a ‘Taylor Swift Package’ comprised of a ‘Signed guitar by Taylor Swift and two concert during her upcoming 2026 tour.’

Inasmuch as Taylor only wrapped her Eras Tour this past December, and has not announced plans to perform on the road again next year, fans were left in a tizzy.

However, just as Swifties began wondering whether a secret upcoming Taylor tour might have been leaked, a correction was made.

The ‘Taylor Swift Package’ at the auction was updated to offer ‘two concert tickets for a concert during her next tour,’ without specifying a particular year.

Meanwhile the gala’s co-founder Tammy York-Day has issued a press release clarifying that the original lot referring to a ‘2026 tour’ was written in error. 

‘Our deepest apologies for getting the Swiftie Nation excited, but it should have said “Guitar signed by Taylor Swift and two tickets for a concert during her next tour,”‘ she said, via E! News. ‘We have no knowledge whatsoever of when that tour will be.’

Swifties flocked to social media to share their reactions to the snafu, including: ‘Interesting… I’m still gonna start saving money anyway haha.’

Another fan echoed the sentiment, writing: ‘i’m gonna start saving money from now,’ as a third exclaimed: ‘ANOTHER TOUR GUARANTEED WE CHEERED.’

Others regarded the mix-up with suspicion, writing: ‘i knew they were using this for bait,’ or: ‘These silent auctions always have a rep of being suss. Not surprised.’

‘It’s literally a marketing strategy to hype people up to get more donations!’ theorized one as another remarked that ‘the whole fandom is in shambles thanks to this.’ 

The gala will be held on May 2 on the eve of the Kentucky Derby, which there are rumors Taylor might attend with her NFL boyfriend Travis Kelce.

Travis, who has furiously denied claims his relationship with Taylor is a PR-concocted ‘showmance,’ is rumored to have booked a full box for the Derby, via DeuxMoi.
