Sam Thompson put on a brave face as he beamed on Friday’s instalment of This Morning while his ex Zara McDermott and Louis Tomlinson were spotted smooching in the street.

The former Made In Chelsea star, 32 – who split from the Love Island star, 28, in December last year – took to our screens today to present an Easter-themed segment in a village called Bunny, Nottinghamshire, for the ITV show. 

Sam was in high spirits as he arrived on set in a vintage yellow car and got stuck in to the presenting job, while his former flame looked cosier than ever with her new beau. 

The I’m A Celebrity winner rocked a casual grey shirt, black trousers and matching smart coat on our screens. 

At the start of the episode, he watched on as the crowd got stuck into an Easter egg hunt, but a few hours later he had his own task to complete. 

Sam was set a challenge to beat the Guinness World Record for the most bunny ears placed on a head in one minute.

The World Record officiator told him: ‘You are going to have to stand in the same position throughout the attempt as people file past you, you’ve got to take the bunny ears one at a time and place them on the people’s heads correctly which means behind the ears and the ears facing forward.’

A confident Sam replied: ‘We’ve got this, come on. This is it.’

After placing 32 ears on people’s heads, Sam boasted: ‘I smashed that. I feel like I nailed that.

‘Oh my God… I’m terrified!’ 

The TV star was over the moon when the officiator confirmed that he had broken the record. 

The challenge was certainly a great distraction for Sam after recently splitting up with his ex Zara. 

The former couple first started dating in 2019, and after a brief split in 2020, they were an item until December 2024. 

Zara – who sH๏τ to fame on Love Island in 2018 – appears to have found love again after she was first linked with One Direction star Louis, 33, last month.

The new couple have kept their relationship under wraps, but earlier this week were seen together for the first time since confirming their shock romance on a lunch date.

Zara and Louis packed on the PDA for the first time as they shared a steamy smooch in LA amid their blossoming romance on Thursday.  

They have truly cemented their loved up status after being spotted sharing a kiss outside their swanky holiday rental as they parted ways. 

The lovebirds emerged holding hands and made their way to a waiting chauffeur driven car before Louis pulled Zara in for a pᴀssionate smooch before she left.

Louis cut a casual figure in a black hoodie and joggers and went without shoes as he said goodbye to the blonde beauty who was heading to the airport.

Meanwhile Zara wore a blue tracksuit and Adidas trainers as she went make-up free beneath a pair of trendy aviator shades. 

It comes after Sam’s best friend Pete Wicks broke his silence on Zara and Louis’ new relationship while speaking to co-host Olivia Attwood on their KISS Breakfast radio show.

He quipped ‘I know them, I have a slight connection there and you know, I’m happy, I’m happy for them. 

‘That’s amazing, I’ve seen the pictures they’re walking through a car park, really romantic…’ 

‘I’m really struggling not to say anything but it is good gossip. 

‘I might tell you some more off air.’
