Sydney Sweeney is reportedly single again after ending her engagement to Jonathan Davino but as fate would have it the actress is still getting a fairytale ending.

In shocking scenes for die-hard fans of Euphoria, the 27-year-old actress was seen in bridal mode as she filmed a wedding scene for season three of the hit show. 

Footage posted to social media from the set of the HBO Max series shows Sydney in a wedding dress as she walks down a rose petal-strewn aisle with various ᴀssistants carrying her gown’s train.

The timing of the shoot must be a bit awkward for Sydney considering her recent split from Jonathan – and may likely make her ex feeling a certain way should he see the pH๏τos. 

Still, Sydney looked ever the professional as she strode down the white aisle in high heels with a veil cascading down her blonde hair, occasionally being shaded by various umbrellas.

Unclear who the groom was, however the initials adorning the aisle – ‘CN’ – suggest Sydney’s character Cᴀssie was marrying Nate, played by Jacob Elordi.

The production team were on the sidelines of the scene, which was decorated by an arch of colorful roses with petals bordering the aisle.

While it’s unclear when exactly the footage was taken, the series announced in February that production on season three had begun following a long delay. 

Fans speculated Cᴀssie was marrying Nate, with one suggesting it may have been a dream sequence (Nate previously envisioned starting a family with Cᴀssie in a fantasy sequence on season two).

The third season of Euphoria will also be doing a time jump into the future.

Euphoria star Zendaya confirmed the time jump during an appearance on Entertainment Weekly’s The Awardist this past October: ‘It’s important because there’s only so much high school drama you can deal with.’

‘I don’t actually know much about what is happening,’ she said at the time, despite being an executive producer on the series.

‘I don’t quite know exactly what the season is going to look like, but I do know that the time jump is happening.’

The actress, who has played teenager Rue, a high schooler who struggles with drug addiction, sounded as excited as fans to learn what’s in store for the young group now that they’re officially adults.

‘It will be fascinating to see and understand these characters outside of the context of high school and how all the stuff that we saw when they were kids and they were in high school affects the adulthood they have and who they become in a much bigger world,’ the Oakland, California, native said.

‘I’ll be interested to see what happens too.’

HBO boss Casey Bloys previously revealed the time jump in an interview with Variety back in June.  

‘[Creator and writer] Sam [Levinson] is working on it,’ Bloys said. 

‘When you take it out of [high school], there’s a lot of back and forth about where to set it and how far in the future to set it and all that stuff. But I think he’s got a take that he’s excited about, and he’s busy writing.’

Off set, Sydney has reportedly been undergoing a mᴀssive personal upheaval. 

Last month it was reported that Sydney and Jonathan had called off their wedding amid ‘major issues’ that allegedly left their romance hanging in the balance.

A source later claimed to TMZ that the two had split back in January and had been living separately since then.

Sydney and Jonathan began dating in 2018, and they got engaged in 2022, but throughout that period they have kept their relationship low key with few public appearances or obvious romantic displays.

Sydney only fueled rumors of a split when she deleted a pH๏τo of her and Jonathan kissing from an Instagram post, and fans became suspicious after she took a trip to Africa in early March without him.

She then left her fans in shock after an oddly timed reunion Glen Powell in Dallas, Texas, to celebrate the wedding of his sister.

The Top Gun: Maverick heartthrob had previously starred opposite her in the hit romantic comedy Anyone But You.

Despite fan concerns that Sydney and Glen’s reunion indicated a burgeoning romance, his mother put the kibosh on those rumors.

In an exclusive phone call with DailyMail.com, Cyndy Powell stated, ‘They’re definitely not together. It was just, like, she was there [at the wedding] with her friend.’

Sydney is ‘really close friends’ with the whole Powell family, she added, and in particular Glen’s sister Leslie, an LA-based singer–songwriter.

Glen confirmed as much on a recent Today Show appearance.

‘[Leslie] and Syd are obviously great friends and it was a hell of a wedding,’ he said.
