Coronation Street star Sacha Parkinson has given birth to her first child.
The actress, 33, who is best known for playing Sian Power on the ITV soap, took to Instagram to reveal she’d welcomed a baby girl named Sadie last week.
Posting a pair of sweet black and white snaps of the newborn, Sacha shared her daughter’s name by writing: ‘One whole week of Sadie.’
Many of Sacha’s soap pals were quick to share messages offering their congratulations, with Lucy Fallon, who plays Bethany Platt, writing: ‘Gorgeous. Hope you’re all ok.’
Ellie Leach gushed: ‘Soooooo beautiful congratulations.’
Sally Dynevor, who plays Sally Metcalfe, wrote: ‘Oooooh wow congratulations. How wonderful. She’s so beautiful.’

Sacha first revealed back in December that she was expecting her first child with her fiancé Jon, sharing news of her pregnancy on Christmas Eve.
Posting Polaroid snaps of her bare bump, the soap star said that 2025 was going to be a ‘wild’ year.
Sacha starred on Coronation Street for four years before quitting the soap in 2011.
During her time on the cobbles, the actress made history as being part of the soap’s first ever lesbian couple, as she formed a romance with Sophie Webster.
It comes after it was confirmed that another Coronation Street star of five years has revealed he has left the ITV soap for ‘new pastures’.
Adam Hussain, 24, has portrayed Aadi Alahan since April 2020 when he took over from Zennon Ditchett who had played the character for 11 years.
The actor is now set to leave the cobbles and took to Instagram to announce his departure.
He posted: ‘I guess the secrets out now! As some of you may have heard, I will be leaving Coronation Street for new pastures.
