Celebrity Big Brother ratings for the last two nights show a shock reaction from viewers to Mickey Rourke after he was kicked out of the house for inappropriate behaviour.

The Hollywood actor, 72, was booted from the show on Saturday after exploding into a foul-mouthed rant amid an aggressive altercation with Love Island’s Chris Hughes, 32.

But before this he had already reduced TOWIE’s Ella Rae Wise, 24, to tears with a disgusting Sєxual comment and made a series of homophobic jibes to JoJo Siwa, 21, – which resulted in nothing more than a warning. 

Mickey’s outbursts and subsequent axing were shown on Sunday night’s episode while Monday night was the first episode he has not been in since the series started. 

But many more viewers tuned in to Monday night (a peak of 1.6million) where he didn’t appear than for Sunday night (a peak of 1.1million) when his exit and dramatic rows were shown.

While the cause for the numbers are unclear it could be down to the fact that Sunday’s episode was pushed back to a 10pm start rather than the usual 9pm kick off.

Last week the launch of Celebrity Big Brother 2025 pulled in the lowest launch show ratings in the show’s history, and fans spotted one key issue with the lacklustre figures.

While Mickey immediately made headlines upon his arrival for his ‘creepy’ behaviour towards host AJ Odudu, it struggled to translate to a huge ratings boost.

Overnight figures showed that the series pulled in a peak of 2.1 million viewers, with an overall average of 1.8 million.

This was down on last year’s peak of 3.2 million viewers, when the series returned for its first celebrity incarnation since 2018.

However, the show pulled in the highest 16-34 audience of the night, more than all four compeтιтor channels combined.

While this number was down on the previous year, fans took to X to note one key issue with the figures.

They noted that Celebrity Big Brother typically has a younger audience, and many of them likely watched the launch on ITVX.

This year, the CBB launch was also streamed live on YouTube, and neither of these viewing figures would have been included in the overnight ratings.

This week the show sparked uproar after Mickey was only finally kicked out of the house after he clashed with Chris – after he’d already made vile comments to two women on the show.

Last week after just one day in the house Mickey had insinuating he would be able to ‘make JoJo straight’ during their time in the house and branded her a ‘f*g’. 

Then Ella broke down in tears after Mickey joked about ‘coming in her’ after she gave him some instructions from Big Brother.

Fans have been in uproar over the decision-making, writing on Reddit: ‘So he wasn’t even kicked out over the s**t he did to JoJo. Wow.’,

‘So it wasn’t even over the JoJo s**t? But of course they’ll take the threats seriously when it’s towards a man.

‘lmfao at the number of men replying to me ‘but but but that’s how warnings work! Why should he be taken seriously he’s so old and his brains are scrambled!!!!’

‘Y’all always wanna jump on the ‘not all men’ train but y’all never wanna f***ing say s**t when it comes to men acting like this.’,

‘It’s a f***ing disgrace that this wasn’t done for his threat towards JoJo Siwa.’,

‘Yeah that’s genuinely so pathetic and disgusting on production’s part. He shouldn’t have ever gotten a warning in the first place, he should’ve been kicked out immediately.’,

ITV declined to comment when contacted by MailOnline for comment.
