Helen Flanagan has admitted that she will struggle to downsize from her eight-bedroom £1million Lancashire house – as she is forced to sell the home after being left ‘broke’ following her split from ex-fiancé Scott Sinclair.
The former Corrie star, 34, bought the lavish property in Bolton with footballer Scott shortly before their split in 2022, but after being left ‘broke’ by the break-up she has confirmed she will be soon be moving to a smaller house.
Speaking on The Declutter Hub podcast with Ingrid Jansen and Lesley Spellman this week, she insisted she was ‘down to earth’ but that moving would be hard.
She also revealed that despite the house already being on the market she doesn’t know where she will move to next – admitting London might be too expensive.
Helen co-parents kids Matilda, nine, Delilah, six, and Charlie, three, with ex Scott but is now in a relationship with new boyfriend Robbie Talbot who lives in Liverpool, where his two children are based.

She said of the future move: ‘We are selling the house now which will be nice to have a change. Because I was with Scott for so long I was used to moving house a lot (because he is a footballer) so it’s normal for me.
‘I could now never stay in one place for too long I don’t think. I like a change, I love it.’
She added: ‘It makes me sad that I am going to be leaving this house soon because I have put so much effort into it. I put loads of my savings into making it look really beautiful. It’s eight bedrooms which is hard to keep on top of – it’s a lot.
‘When we move I will struggle to downsize – I don’t want to not sounds down to earth. Bu it will feel weird. It will be more manageable for me.
‘I don’t know where I want to live next. I’ve always wanted to live in London but there is such a price difference there. But it would be amazing for work and I do want a change. It’s been a heavy few years for me so it will be a lovely fresh change.’
She added that her ‘lovely boyfriend’ is from Liverpool and has two kids so ‘that is a consideration too’ for the move, adding: ‘But the decision will come to me I’m sure.’
During the podcast chat she also reminisced on living in the house she is now selling and all the memories that have come along with it.
She said: ‘The house I’m in at the moment I’ve been here for four years. That’s a big deal as when I was with Scott we moved house so many times and I don’t actually know how many houses I lived in – Swansea, London, Scotland, Cheshire, everywhere.

Helen said: ‘I think I’m going to struggle because obviously I will be downsizing so much’ but admitted that she didn’t want her worries to make her seem not ‘down to earth’
‘We were renting and then to move into this home it was so nice to have that family home and obviously it didn’t go how I wanted it to go but it’s still been nice to have the family home.
‘He bought me the house that I’m in now as a surprise. It was very sweet. We moved back to the area that I’m from and it was so sweet. But Charlie was about three months old at this point and I was struggling post-natally so it was tough timing.’
Helen revealed in court earlier this year that she was ‘really struggling financially’ before being banned from driving for six months after being caught speeding twice in 16 days.
She begged not to lose her licence due to her being a ‘full-time mother’ and would be unable to afford taxis to get her kids to school.
Helen claimed her boyfriend Robbie was driving her £66,000 Audi Q7 when it was caught speeding.
However, she was charged with two counts of failing to give information relating to the identification of a driver.
Helen said: ‘My job really is being a mum at home. Their dad works away. It’s really difficult at the moment now for me to be earning money. I earn money on social media but it kind of varies what I earn.
‘I think there might be a perception maybe that I would easily be able to afford a driver but that’s quite far from the case. I’ve got enough money in my account to pay off my tax and my VAT and basically that’s about it.’

The luxurious house that Helen has put on the market, which she described as her ‘forever home’, boasts a huge walk-in wardrobe, a Harry-Potter playroom, and plush furniture in the living room.
She previously teased a glimpse of the wizarding themed room adorned with themed motifs, a broom over the door and even a starry night sky scattered with letters from Hogwarts.
Elsewhere, Helen has shared a look at her expansive kitchen, with the bright, white space perfect for family dinners.
The kitchen and living room area is finished with grey wood floors, with the kitchen boasting plenty of cupboard space.
It comes after the soap star – best known for her role as Rosie Webster in Corrie – admitted she is no longer living with boyfriend Robbie after he briefly moved into the home.
She also lifted the lid on her split from ex-fiancé Scott as she revealed the truth about the breakdown of their relationship, following their split after 13 years together.
While her romance with Robbie is going from strength to strength, Helen revealed he moved out because it wasn’t helpful for her children who ‘miss’ their dad.
She told The Sun: ‘I’d asked him to stay for a while, because I often get quite scared in the house on my own and feel safer with a man there.
‘But Matilda is very sensitive and a proper daddy’s girl, and she struggles with not seeing Scott as often as she’d like. I always think about how she feels when she misses her dad, and having my boyfriend there maybe doesn’t help her.’

On her failed romance with ex Scott, Helen revealed she was the one to call time on their relationship.
She said they ‘were always quietly breaking up and then getting back together’ until one day she called it quits for good.
Helen said: ‘In the end, it was me who decided [to break up]. I’ll always be sad it didn’t work out, and we still have love for each other, but we’re happier apart.’
Helen previously revealed that her friends tried to put her on a ‘man ban’ after she split from Scott.
Looking back at the time of her split from Scott, Helen told The Sun’s Fabulous Magazine: ‘A lot of my friends were trying to put me on a man ban, which obviously didn’t work!
‘I was hurting from the break up and I’ve always just wanted to be loved so I started dating.’
Helen previously admitted that the former couple ‘don’t like each other at all’ despite them ‘caring deeply’ for each other.
Speaking to Charlotte Dawson on her Naughty Corner podcast , Helen said: ‘I still love him very much, I care about him deeply, but we don’t like each other.
‘We don’t like each other at all, we don’t get on. I do know that Scott – he’d never admit it – cares about me too and he does love me.
‘But I’m so done, I could never have another relationship again where we would always be bickering. I haven’t got another argument in me.
‘As women we try and do anything we can to make it work with the father of your children and I did. But I think for me if I was in a relationship with someone else it would have to be easy because I haven’t got the energy in me again, I’ve done all that with the father of my kids.’
Helen confessed: ‘It will feel weird to downsize everything because I’m going to have to get rid of so much more because all my beautiful furniture that I bought, it’s designed for this house’
Helen went onto say co-parenting is ‘hilarious’ as she revealed the pair try and avoid each other so they don’t ‘argue’ in front of their kids.
She continued: ‘I’ve been a single mum for two years now. Co-parenting is hilarious, we were together for 13 years.
‘The last time I saw him, I thought it was quite funny, I was taking the p*** out of him because he had a bucket hat on. I think he was trying not to laugh.
‘He lives in Bath and I live in North Manchester so its about five hours and we meet in Birmingham to exchange things and the kids.
‘He’s throwing things in my boot and I just started taking the mickey out of his bucket hat to lighten the mood.
‘We just try and not be in the same house together because the children are the priority and I want a good environment for them and I don’t want them to see us arguing.’
