Geri Horner’s new career move has been revealed as she plots her big comeback a year on from her husband Christian’s Sєxting scandal. 

The Spice Girl, 52, last made her name across the pond with the iconic girl band in the 90s – and she looks set to take on the US again, this time solo. 

In 2007, Geri put music to one side and made her foray into writing, quickly becoming a highly successful author.

And now her Rosie Frost trilogy could be set for the big screen after The Sun reported she is in talks with film bosses about a movie adaptation. 

Geri would reportedly act as a consultant on the films but wouldn’t be involved in the making of them.   

An insider said: ‘Geri has had meetings with film bosses over the past month and there have been serious discussions about bringing her book trilogy to the big screen.

‘They see real promise in the stories and believe a movie adaptation is a real possibility.

‘If a deal is struck, Geri would act as a consultant, she won’t be involved in the actual making of the movies as she’s happy to leave that to the experts – but it’s certainly an exciting time for her.’

It comes after addressed speculation that she has legally changed her surname following her husband Christian’s highly-publicised Sєxting scandal.

Speaking to the The Sunday Times, Geri spoke on the reports that she has altered her surname from Horner to Halliwell-Horner, after the Formula One Red Bull boss was caught up in a media storm surrounding his conduct at work.

Holding up her book, the author confirmed: ‘That’s a load of c**p. It’s my writing name. I haven’t legally changed anything — Horner is the name on my pᴀssport.’

Elsewhere in the interview, she revealed that Christian has adopted her daughter Bluebell, which had previously not been reported on.

Geri welcomed her oldest child Bluebell, 18, during a short-lived relationship with Sacha Gervasi, a journalist turned screenwriter and director.

The teenager is currently studying English literature and Geri gushed she is a ‘brilliant writer’ who she sometimes ‘runs thing past’ when she writes her own books. 

Asked whether Bluebell gets her writing skills from her dad, Geri explained that Christian has officially adopted her daughter.

She said: ‘Her biological father, yes. Christian formally adopted her. It’s public knowledge.’

Christian and Geri also share a son and Christian’s daughter from his previous relationship with Beverley Allen, a former pub landlady.

It is only a little over a year ago since Christian was caught up in an alleged Sєxting scandal which nearly cost him his job.

But Geri’s interview suggests that things are harmonious at home as she detailed sharing a bed with her partner and watching Netflix series together.

The singer described their relationship as ‘silly’ and revealed that their perfect date night together would be cooking together at home.

The motor-racing guru was accused of ‘inappropriate behaviour’ by a female colleague at the start of February 2024.

The tranche of WhatsApp messages allegedly between him and the woman were leaked to the media, including 149 Formula 1 figures.

Geri staunchly stood by his side but the scandal was a difficult time for the couple.

But later Christian was cleared of any wrongdoing after a three-week inquiry conducted by an external lawyer for the F1 team’s parent company Red Bull GmbH.
