Hailey Bieber was fiercely defended by a fan who ran into her at Coachella and insisted that the wife of Justin Bieber is not ‘egotistical’ like other stars.

The fan, who is called Shelly, enjoyed a warm encounter with Hailey, 28, at an event where the model was promoting her Rhode skincare line.

Shelly and Hailey apparently used to be ‘mutuals’ on social media and had enjoyed a conversation at a Halloween event a couple of years previously.

As a result, Hailey recognized Shelly when she caught sight of her in the crowd, pulled her out of the line and gushed over her.

Firing up her Insta Stories, Shelly recalled that Hailey’s words to her were: ‘MY ANGEL!!!! You’re here!! I love seeing you, you always look so cute.

They then posed for pH๏τos together, and Shelly proudly posted a video of the moment, writing: ‘YA THEY CAN NEVER MAKE ME HATE HER.’

She told the story in greater detail on her TikTok, explaining that when Hailey walked past, she was accompanied by bodyguards as well as her best friend Kendall Jenner, who was there promoting her own 818 tequila line.

Shelly showered praise on Hailey for stopping to talk to her, saying: ‘She’s so freaking humble. She’s so kind. She did not have to do that, okay?’

She added: ‘Like that’s very sweet and genuine and down-to-earth and I feel like you guys are always reaching to hate this girl.’ 

Explaining why Hailey recognized her, Shelly said: ‘I used to be mutuals with Hailey back in the day, and I saw her not too long on Halloween like two years ago and we talked there as well.’

Yet and still, Shelly noted how impressed she was that Hailey took the trouble to ‘to literally come up to me and remember and make an effort to come up and say something to me, while everyone was there waiting for her.’

She doubled down: ‘I like her. You guys can never make me hate her, and what celebrity do you know that would do that?

‘I feel like most celebrities are so egotistical that even if they recognized someone that they knew, who like wasn’t a part of their crew or isn’t famous, they’re not gonna make an effort to go out of their way to say something to them or say hi.’

While at the festival, Hailey was also seen with singer pal Billie Eilish, 23.

Hailey had her arm wrapped about Billie as they walked through festival grounds, with the model showing off her trim midriff in a black crop and blue jeans.

Meanwhile Billie rocked an oversized striped t-shirt, a green snapback, and navy pants. She held a silver camera in her had to capture special moments from the event.

The insider also dished that Hailey is ‘up for the challenge’ and ready to provide the ‘consistency’ that Justin so desperately needs right now.

Weekend one of the Coachella Valley music festival kicks off Friday and runs through Sunday with Lady Gaga, Green Day and Post Malone serving as headliners.

While Bieber has never headlined the festival, he has performed as a special guest at Coachella four times in the past.

At the 2024 festival, Justin came out for a short performance alongside singer-songwriter Tems during her highly-anticipated set in Indio, California.
